Your investment is actually similar....to a point.....a 496 bow tie and a 470~494 Buick are similar in money....timing cover excluded and oil pan the difference is the heads....4k in heads for a BBC gets you CNC 400+cfm.....4k in buick heads gets you the only heads available and $1500 in port work and 370cfm....once you start trying to run9s or make 800+hp the bow tie is the clear better fiscal decision
