Dang. Looks like this dyno requires a 4 speed flywheel that has been machined to accept the dyno adapter.
Haven't found one that fits nicely. There are a few I have seen for sale on ebay recently and I'm sure a few here.
It even has the screw to tighten the coil into the bracket. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2847085963...udynpnpQQm&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Jr, if you use an aftermarket coil such as the MSD Blaster 2, it is larger in diameter than a stock AC Delco, use a few washers as spacer to prevent coil bracket from damaging coil as you tighten the bracket to the block. I ran into this with my Blaster 2 coil using the stock bracket.
Same here. I had to take the bracket off the motor and use a slightly longer screw, with mine. I did not use any spacers though. Just snugged it up enough to hold the coil still and put the bracket and coil back on together.
Probably going to make a coil bracket for dyno tomorrow. Attached is the fix for flywheel. Pontiac flywheel with centering collar and new holes drilled for alignment.
Definitely sucks! I don’t know who makes the TA flat tappet cam but it came in a comp cam box. Dyno shop said they had a BBC that ate 3 comp cams the other day. Apparently comps quality is no bueno. Need to get a roller set up.
