'71 Skylark I bought from my girlfriend who turned into my wife 27 years ago. She bought it from her grandmother who bought it new. I had it less than 2 years. Working out of town on a 1st year apprentice wages, the gas bill was too much.
Pic is from '84, right before I sold it with 22K miles on the clock. Purchaser was a lady who had a son. 3 months later it was bent like a pretzel from a very hard hit in the passenger door. The hit was caused by a telephone pole..........just kinda jumped out of the ditch & smashed into the first car it saw.

1966 chevelle. it had these monster tires on the rear. After picking up the car and only a block away from my house, the right rear tire came off. To be young and stupid. My first and only buick to date, is my 71 Skylark Conv. I thought I was always a Chevy guy until I got behind the wheel of my 71.

My first car was a 1957 Ford Fairlane 500. It had a 312 cu.in. v8 and had been converted to a 4 speed manual transmission. Bought it for $50 in 1969 and sold it four years later for $800. My next car and first Buick was a 1969 GS400 Stage 1 that I bought in 1971 for $2500.00. It had a bench seat and a column shifted automatic. I kept that one for 27 years and finally sold it to my mechanic in 1998, running, for $60.00. I will mention that it had 324,000 miles on it and to this day it stands out as the best car I have ever owned. My wife and I are looking forward to the day we can get another one.
