My first car I bought (when I was 14 yrs old) is/was a Buick...and I still own it.
It's my 10 second GSX Clone race car.
Won a lot of street races with that car back in high school:3gears:

My first car was a 54 Nash Canadian Statesman that I bought for $25 with the engine in pieces in the trunk! Actually I had bought a 53 Nash ($30) that ran (barely) when I was 14, ths ended up being the parts car. My Dad helped me to overhaul the engine when I was 15 & I had ithe 54 Nash ready for the road the day I got my license. It was gutless, but unique. I still have it although it no longer runs & the unibody is rustd out.

I learned to drive in the 1950 GMC 1 ton that I stil use.

First Buick was an 83 Regal 4dr., great car. My Dad had a new 67 Special 300-2 that I loved to suprise 283 Chevs & 289 Fords with when I got my hands on it.

My first car was/is my 73' GS STAGE 1,I bought it in 84' for 1200$ with 86k miles on it.
Spun a rod bearing in 87',so I bought a 70' sport wagon that the owner put a 455 in for 400$. I took the engine from the wagon and put it in the GS,it lasted about a year before it gave out. About a year later I rebuilt the original engine and that's the way it sits today. There were a few 5.0 mustangs that went home with their heads hung low back in the day. haha :)
    GOOD TIMES.

Car #1) '69 GTO Judge that I picked up for $600.00 in 1978. I washed a lot of dishes to pay for that bad boy. The poor kid I bought it from was trying to impress the entire student body at Davis High with a hairy burnout and stacked it into a brand new Firebird in the student parking lot. He never drove it again. I put a new fender and bumper on it and beat the tar out of that thing for quite a few years. The first time my mom borrowed it to pick up groceries she came back from the store and said "Sweetie...your car has REALLY good pick up!"

#1 Buick) '70 Skylark Custom 350-4, TH350, AC, in my avatar. I didn't even own my own car when I picked this one up in '03. I went to help the Widow of the original owner get it started after it sat in her garage for 3 years. Her husband had passed away and nobody had driven it since. On Wednesday I charged the battery and checked all the fluids. On Thursday when me and my friend Mike got there, four of the Ole Mans buddies from his neighborhood greeted us with "You boys are pissin into the wind. That thing aint never gonna start." I put the key in the ignition and was greeted with the door ajar buzzer...good sign? Mike, manning the spritz bottle of gas, sprayed the carb...I turned the key...and...rr-rr-rr VROOM! It ran perfectly, even with 3 year old gas. We replaced the rubber fuel lines to the pump ($2.75) and drove it to the next city and back with no issues. When I returned the car after our test drive Mrs. Dye says "Fantastic boys. I never thought it would run again!" Just before we left I asked her to enjoy the car as much as possible, it needs to be driven sometimes. She says in her French accent "I would love to drive the car but, I am 76 years old and I have shrunk, I can no longer reach the pedels. Perhaps you would like own it?" Umm ok. I've owned 2 pontiacs, a plymouth, a Ford and a GMC. I REALLY like my Buick! My wife thinks I have screw loose.

First car was a 1948 Ford Super Deluxe Club Coupe with a hopped up flathead V8 from a '53 Mercury. Had cherry bombs too for a nice loud rumble. $375. Restored it continuously for over 15 years - never stopped breaking.

So I got a Riviera for $800 (took a while to save up at the rate of $1.25 an hour) for my daily driver - doesn't break, like new condition, still got it more than 30 years later. :)

My first car was a 68 camaro, my brother bought it new from my fathers dealership (Chev - Buick) just a 327 2brl 3 spd on the floor. I got it with 93000 miles on it & drove the /.,.@#$ out of it . (1973)

The first Buick I owned was a 1969 GS stg1,4speed, widow maker tach, buckets, non A/C, drum brakes ,3.64 gears, engine had spun mains I installed a 1975 Electra 455 with KB118 cam the GS air cleaner housing & stg1 valve covers. Ran OK but I liked it with the stock cam better CR was not a good match for cam. After selling it I learned it was one of 415 stg1 cars with 4spds that year. I towed this car from Black Earth Wisconsin to La Farge Wi with a 1948 Chev Wrecker with a 218 " dipper" engine & 6.40 gears ......... long trip!

I have never forgot where I came from ,because I'm still here

My first car was a 1997 Pontiac Grand Am GT with the 3100 (3.1L) V-6.
I loved the way that car handled, though it wasn't much of a speed demon. 16.7 second was the best I ever managed in the 1/4 mile.
