I turned 58 this year. We seem to be in a minority here, us old coots. It's good to see the young guys going after the old iron. My first real car was a '37 La Salle, at age 15. Never drove it, as it had a blown head gasket, and the block was rusted next to a valve. On a flathead, that meant more $$$$ than I had to repair it. I've been wrenching machinery since before I can remember. I do remember that I repacked the wheel bearings on my dad's '66 Dodge wagon at age 16, unsupervised. I sweated bullets for weeks that I hadn't done it right, but obviously he knew I could and trusted me to do it (he told me to).

Any of you boys born between '72 and '76 in a Navy town in Illinois or California have a possibility of being my spawn. :pp

I'm older than dirt and sometimes I feel like it. A few years ago I decided that I needed something to liven things up. So, I bought a new 2007 Corvette.
That car will sure put lead in your pencil!

On a February day when the snow is neck deep to a giraffe, I have time to look at some of the posts on this thread.
I made my initial entry in 2003 when I was just a kid of 70 and I guess I haven't grown up as I still play with Buicks.
I haven't been down the track in 2-3 years, but I still like to disturb the ricers at the stop lights !! My GS still runs good enough to get most of them, but there is the occasional one that is either running a turbo or NO2
