...just back from my lunchtime walk in mid-town manhatten 66 degrees with very rare sightings in february of NorthEast Boobies - several pair were spotted out of their usual covered nests o No: ou:
Sounds like a nice lunch but surely you don't mean the same sort of sightings one might see in Paris? I've been told that there one can really see the species in their truly natural state during lunch hour in the summer. :eek2: :TU: Btw Alan, I'm right there with ya on the house stuff. Just finished the living room. New sheetrock, insulation, woodwork. paint and refinished the wood floors. Now maybe I can get some top down time before I have to start on the dining room. ou:
My friends went back to Rockingham this weekend with the Firebird and the 800 cid motor. They only ran in in an 1/8 instead of the full 1/4. The 60 foot time was 1.1 seconds and the at the 1/8 mark the speed was 156 mph. They only used the first stage of Nitrous. They have 4 stages so three more stages are left for the future runs.
Finally another upper 60 degree day has arrived. The flower blubs are rising from the ground and the top is coming down. It was a warm December but January has been tough.
Bite me Jim!!!!! We have a foot on the ground since 5:30PM and it's still comming down.Tops might come down late May early June if we're lucky.
It's been so long since you've seen any you can't even bring youself to say the word.Just to refresh your memory this is what the S looks like.
That looks terrible. We got some last week for the first time in I thnk 7 years. I hate that stuff but Ice is the worst.
I got jonquils in bloom and the daffodils should bloom later this week or early next week. If I had a ragtop it would be top down today. It is almost 70 here. I had to cut my grass twice this year already.
Yea ours are up about 8 inches or so out of the ground but we have some more cold weather coming and I do not want to take a chance with an early bloom. So I am hoping that they will hold off for a couple of weeks.
We finally hit 70 today but then a front hit us about 4pm bringing rain again. This winter has brought rain more days than not.
Count your blessings. Here in Central Texas we are in the driest 16 month period in history, even including the drought of the 50's...
