... car has been down since late november last year after my fuel pump died - wanted to change out a few other things in the system as well but The House rebuild has been eating up my free time and then my back was out for the past few weeks. Sat morning the wife went to her brothers for the weekend to play with their new baby ... I got the wrenches out and finished last nite about 10p.

Fired right up and when I saw nothing was leaking I sneaked BigRed out of the driveway and IMMEDIATELY dropped the top and all 4 windows and off I went into the night. Drove around the neighborhood with the fire extinguisher on my right and the flashlight close by. Stopped several times in lit parkingl ots every few minutes to triple-check ... then just went for a nice long cruise all by myself. I told myself to behave, its just a shake down run - no need to rip things up tonight.

That lasted about 5 minutes as Late Sunday nites the roads are pretty empty and my right ankle to kidney connection hadn't gotten a fix of the go-fast drug for wayyyy to long.

Before I knew it I was pulling back into my neighborhood and it was closing in on 1am and the odometer had about 100 miles more on it than when I left.

Closed the garage door and before I flicked off the lights I glanced back and smiled thinking ".... Damn, What a Machine !!"

After a long winter the top is down once again and the frogs are singing in the creeks in celebration. It was 73 here yesterday. Lows in the 50s last night so we are ready to go again today.

I can see 50% of my driveway and about 70% of my yard. Oh, yeah....the maple tree near the driveway dripped sap onto my wife's car while I was trying to clean it Sunday. Spring will be here soon, but probably not until after our annual Easter snow.
