My daughter called from Georgia today, they have 2" of snow on the ground. Thats more than we have in Michigan.o No: Temps have been very cold here though.
The snow came and left during the night. Thankfully it went mostly west of us. We got a dusting on the ground but the roads are clear. Some bridges are slick because the melt is going to maybe refreeze. It will be in the 70s by Friday but for now it is cold with high temps barely above freezing and WIND.
Heck the power went off in the early morning and I heard the back up generator crank up and run for about an hour. 50 flights canceled here because they were going to the Northeast.
A friend of mine in Sunset Lake said he lost power as well this morning. Hay, you taking one of those machines out Sat. or Sun.? Drop by 1716 McLaruin if you do. I may make the first trip to the strip on Sunday (Fayetteville Motorsports) 1-5 pm, drop me a line if you want to meet there, let's see what I can do. :3gears:
Are they going to let you run the 1/4? If not, since the weather is going to be in the 70s Rockingham dragway has an event for 3 days. http://www.rockinghamdragway.com/flyers/2009/tci-twins/ Also Dunn-Benson is open and even has test and tune starting this Thursday night: http://www.dunnbensondragstrip.com/Schedule.htm
Yes they are, Test and Tune on Sunday. I like Fayetteville much better than Dunn/Bensen and even The Rock. I do need to check some other tracks schedules however...
Just for all those who are not used to cold weather, here is a place that you can order some cozy clothing to keep those tender tootsies toasty warm. http://www.mukluks.com/
70 today and 80 tomorrow Definitely top down weather. Just took my street legal golf cart to the Post Office with my dog Molly riding shotgun. p
We had a record high on Thurs, made it to 76*. Today was more on the normal side of 58*. Last Fir night Sat morn we had 6" snow.
rain all weekend in chicago area. at least it won't be snow. maybe all the rain will get the salt off the roads.
50's and sunny this weekend. the X is coming out! still got half a tank of 100 octane to burn up!:beers2:
sunny and 60 today. going cruising, looking for an audi i saw last night. i think it was a v12?:3gears:
Crystal clear sunny day here, but a bit chilly to take the top down on the aircraft carrier. High might make it to the low 60's, but sure looks nice out the window.
Yesterday we were at the MOPAR nostaglia car shootout and show at Rockingham Dragway featuring Dean Sox in his late Dad's Duster versus Bullet Bob Reed in a 68 Fish. Perfect weather. It was like being in a time warp. We saw "Rapid" Ronnie Lyles and Herb McCandless there also.
