    Brad,

And what about the non-local contractor or the local who's late to work every morning.....just don't add up here.......if a person got three and they reduced that to one...that would be a 66% reduction for that person.....i demand that same reduction or i am being discriminated against....correct :Do No:

The camera takes a 10 second video clip and they send you a still from this clip. The video clip is available on a web site to view.

So they should be able to determine the faster vehicle via the video clip.

accorsing to the local news tonight, the proverbial poop is hitting the fan in Heath.

people are raising hell, wanting these cameras removed.

there is a law stating a police officer must see you speeding,so you can be written a citation.

i don't know how they are getting away with this stuff.

    btw,the Mopar guys got hammerred hard:Dou: .

You need to hold the event in Fargo/Moorhead at our 1/4 track.

Oh and if you get a 47 in a 35 here the fine is $12. My friend past a cop because he going slow after they both made a right hand turn. He pulled him over for an illegal pass because he did not stay in the inside lane after turning. Its a $20 ticket. The good news is if you donate blood they will give up a credit for $20 towards a ticket.

Blood donation cuts Fargo traffic fines

In their first month of operation, traffic cameras have the potential to net Heath $1 million, although officials say that's not going to happen.

The city's 10 new cameras at six intersections cited drivers for speed violations 12,555 times last month, and they ticketed drivers for running red lights 303 times. If the city were to receive the full $100 for each violation, it would reap more than $1 million after paying its share to vendor Redflex.

But Mayor Richard Waugh said the city won't take in even close to that amount now that it's dismissing all subsequent speeding tickets issued to drivers who received their initial one in July.

The most recent numbers were released in a public-safety committee meeting last night.

Waugh said after the meeting that at least 25 percent of the ticket fines won't be collected for one reason or another, and at least another 25 percent will be dismissed because they were multiple violations.

The vast majority of the speeding tickets issued, about 8,600, stemmed from two speed-only enforcement cameras at Rt. 79 and Coffman Boulevard, south of City Hall, where the speed limit is 35 mph.

That has led a number of city residents to allege that the site is a speed trap, and some spoke last night.

"Sending out 8,600 tickets from a speed trap is wrong," Duane Goodwin said in the meeting. "Why not make (the speed limit) 50 and enforce the heck out of it?"

Goodwin and a group of Heath residents collected signatures to put a charter amendment on the November ballot. If passed, the amendment would outlaw issuing traffic tickets from the cameras unless an officer is present when the violation occurs.

Waugh defended the cameras, saying people should focus instead on there having been more than 12,000 speeding violations in the city in July. That's a serious problem, he said.

"I do believe the speed limit for that stretch of highway is appropriate," Waugh said.

Got a letter from Heath saying my failure to pay has caused the ticket to go to $125. If I don't pay they will collect via civil action. What would that entail? Another trip out there???

    Any advice?

Like WildBill said, I'm not paying and I'm not going back!
