C'mon tough guy! EIGHTS? You may have enough horsepower (three more than you need), but I'm afraid you have too much car! After this Winter's backhalf project is completed, you're in like Flynn! You're just not quite there yet. Sorry Robbie. :ball:
Will see Dougey!! :Smarty: You don't have the market cornered on that 8 zone do you? Just like you had the Super 16 class all rapped up? HUH ? I may not have an 8.99 in there but I have a low 9.0 in that car, wanna bet !!!!!:TU:
Lets see if my new Plenum work helps!!! After a week of welding, grinding, polishing, and flow testing on Greg Gesslers superflow 600 Flow bench. As you can see i lengthen the runners to equalize flow, and now they are all within a few CFM and match perfectly!! I hope it makes the 20 HP Ceralli says!!! Then I am in the infinite 8s with you!!!!!!! :spank: I Want to get to the track before Cecil if we have a nice day? Like 60 degree temp for a high, and high barometer!!!! P.S Doug, That Jaguar is going down!!!
MMM Not my beeswax but, this is what I do :Brow: (be a pain in the?) Dougie!! Put John Jr. in the car for a few runs and you got low to mid eights!! Beter yet put me in the caro No: o No: :kodak: (I promise I will clean all the stuff outa my pants and the caro No: :bglasses: )Oh Rob I will take your car down the track too. We are about the same weight OLD MANp (Theres is no icon for me being stupid, or my sense of humoro No:
Yeah, that Jaguar is going down!!!! See how I spun this whole thing around onto Bruce? Cool, huh?
No way my cat's going down!!! Cuz I'm leaving it at home caged up .....:bla: :bla: :bla: Cecil doesn't like my cat anymore.....earlier this year I went 9.78 the got warned and tried to slow it and went 9.89. They said if it ever goes a 9.999 or quicker I'm banned for life from Cecil. :eek2: Even in a 20 sec. car!!! So, I'll have to beat up on you guys with my slow(er) car. GS (BQUICK)
Stop hecklering me, boy......it's a GS not GSX. It's funny how your mouth works more when your car is running.......:Brow:  :spank:
It looks like a GSX to me. If it's a GS, why does it have stripes and spoilers? And what's that supposed to mean, "when my car is running"? I'm not the one who did the slip and slide in my own oil at Salem! Wasn't that you? You know what they say about people who drive Jaguars and live in glass houses! :moonu:
Yeah, yeah, yeah.....hey I was just testing the limits of parts......and block. As I'm sure you can relate to..... Plus that was #1 in 27 years. What are you up to?
Here is a copy of my camshaft specs that I promised to post!! And we all have a few Buick blocks we have laid to rest!!!:3gears:
Your cam is pretty close to the cam Rick M. runs. Seems like a pretty good grind with the numbers you got out of it. We run a nitrous flat-tappet 275/289 @.050 with .390 lobe lift 112 L/C but it spins to the moon in a 470. Rpms should come down with the spray which is the plan. I tried dropping the plenium size and increasing the center runners length but it didn't work on my old nitruos setup. Was fine on motor but didn't like as much nitrous and slowed down. Dave Fisher has a TA intake with the same extension on his short runners. Be interesting to see how it works for you with your combination. Thanks for sharing the cam info. Always good to what is working for who.
Is that right? You only run a 1.5 rocker?? Man,My cam is OUTDATED!!! Just afraid for the lifter valley to change anythingray:
I think it's at ten. But you're leading me 1-0 in number of heads squished by our own cars!! Ya know, I never get tired of that....never! :beer
No Gary I run a 1.65 T&D rocker set just like yours!!:beers2: I also run a .040 offset intake rocker and offset roller lifters. My reason for this is, I have no push rod bump intrusion in the intake port!!:Smarty: I welded the stock push rod holes closed on the Stage 1 TE heads and the re-drilled them!!:TU: I also have a TA lifter valley girdle, and adjust it after 10 runs!! I have found the little feet do like to move away from the block. The block in this car has very thick lifter bores, compared to most of the Buick blocks I have seen. I always look for a thick lifter bore before I even start sonic checking the blocks for cylinder bore thickness!!!:TU:
Yes they are mounted on a shaft, so there are no issues with contact of the rockers and valve springs!!:blast:
