Here are a few shots. The final tally was 175 hours of labor plus materials.

He charged me $52/ hour and no charge on the materials which he said was a little over 500 bucks.

I was afraid to touch it. I requested no clear coat as it didnt come with clear from the factory. I told him I would pick it up on Monday

Funny, everytime I've gone to look at the car, its always outside parked under this canopy just sitting there with no one working on it. Its like the guy has elves working on the car at night or something.

The fresh paint really sets off the classic styling lines of that model. :TU:

The car looks great. Makes me want to hurry up and get mine painted. Especially since mine will also be white and now I get a hint at what it would look like.

Thanks Yards. I think the paint looks too deep and shiny with a clearcoat. Sounds weird right? I wanted to try and duplicate the shine it had from the factory. Im almost positive that the shop uses a PPG paint system. Urethane or enamel? Thats a good question, I'll have to ask. He did say that if I ever needed to touch it up, it would be real easy. Im not sure if he meant because of the color or type of paint.

As far as the color, it does look more like a pure white than Arctic white. I told the shop I wanted to keep it the original color- white. I should of been more specific maybe. I debated prior to bringing it in on painting it a brighter white than factory. Im not sure what I ultimately wound up with. Either way, Im happy. Damn thing is bright isnt it?

I am a bit curious to compare it to my chip chart.

Ive got so much work to do....

You probably will. It will be driverless with a brick on the gas pedal headed for water.

    Thanks for the compliments everyone!

Jason, don't blame the new paint if it doesn't match the chip that well...if it's from an old book, it may have yellowed a tad.

Jason congrats,:TU: when you paint somthing white it always looks to bright until you start putting everthing back. Black top, trim it will tone it down. What do you need 6 months?Thank god you stripped the car your self it would have been 275 hours you would have had to sell the 70 to pay him.
