Did you notice the recent outbreak of mumps among NHL players and the game refs? There is a lot of thought that this is due to lax vaccinations standards in Canada versus the U.S.

    http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/2014/12/5/7341719/nhl-mumps-out-breakout

"Mumps was common in the United States before the mid-1960s, when a vaccine was developed that dropped the total number of cases to fewer than 1,000 per year. That said, the number of young adults who have become infected has risen in recent years, and there are several theories as to why.

For one, although mumps vaccinations are mandatory in the U.S., only three out of the 10 provinces in Canada require that children must be vaccinated..."

What they don't mention in the article is that with the health care system all kids get vaccinated and for them to not be the parents would have to refuse the shot. There is no need for it to be mandatory. The big thing they don't mention is to register a child for school it is mandatory to show proof of all vaccinations:bglasses:

Does anyone else find it odd that if something that is suppose to be so safe has its own court system not to mention is very heavily regulated law suite wise by the government. They have been making laws to stop law suites against pharma and GMO? http://www.uscfc.uscourts.gov/vaccine-programoffice-special-masters Na there can't be a link like $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Now they are saying all players on the Olympic teams Canada and US were given the vaccination before going to the games and now they are getting the mumps:Dou:

"Mumps vaccine is the best way to prevent mumps. This vaccine is included in the combination measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) and measles-mumps-rubella-varicella (MMRV) vaccines. Two doses of mumps vaccine are 88% (range: 66-95%) effective at preventing the disease; one dose is 78% (range: 49%−92%) effective. The first vaccine against mumps was licensed in the United States in 1967, and by 2005, high two-dose childhood vaccination coverage reduced disease rates by 99%."

    http://www.cdc.gov/mumps/vaccination.html

So they were already exposed and in the incubation period or they had one dose or two doses and fell outside the statistical range for protection.

The complications associated with an adult contracting mumps can be a bad experience:

"A fair amount of adolescent and adult males who have mumps could experience pain, swelling or lumps in the testicles."

CNN said this am that the vaccine was for the wrong strain and would at best ease the symptoms  In the same breath they say that every one should still get the shot:Do No: Sounds to Me like they still need to get paid for a faulty product :spank::dollar::spank:

But it's an "FDA Approved" faulty product so it's OK. :TU:

I am so glad that someone with a sheepskin is saying this. If I came out with "Stop poisoning your body with modern medicine and just eat healthy" everyone would say I am crazy. I agree with DrBuick 100%. Now what I would like to hear more about is this thing about root canals not being good for you?

It's one of two stories every year.
The flu either mutated and renders the shot ineffective.
Or, the shot was for the wrong flu.

But once again this is not an answer :Do No: It is the same chicken little answer that they always give and expect the sheeple to accept:eek2:

    It could.
    But does it?

So, the answer only raises another question.

Our modern medicine is truly a modern miracle. But, there is still as much art as it is science.

Science does not provide the ultimate answer, just a best approximation based on current research. The research still continues to provide better solutions. If you don't trust science, you should never again use any medicine prescribed by a doctor, and in truth, you shouldn't even go to a doctor. Note that people (even doctors!) make mistakes. Jenny McCarthy is a murderer with her anti-science stance. It is a crying shame how many sheeple will accept her non-scientific conclusion for the cause of her son's autism. Foil hat territory, as far as I am concerned. YMMV.

Have you ever listened to a drug commercial? Or read a black box warning? Medicine to clear up your dry skin MIGHT kill you. Science is by no means infallible and every year, many "FDA approved" drugs are pulled from the market because they have a bad habit of killing people. And the laws favor the drug producers so compensation is difficult.

The FDA are the murderers here.
