I also am extremely healthy. I am 58 years old, and have no health issues at all. I am not on any medication at all. I workout regularly, run, bicycle, walk, I am very active and have lots of energy. I sleep like a baby for 8 hours every night. I have no complaints.

One thing that I have learned is that no matter how extremist or outrageous someone's opinion, or ideas are, they can ALWAYS find validation for that idea on the Internet. Anyone can write a blog, put up a website, or put up a youtube video to state their opinion. I've seen things on youtube and on the internet in general that make me absolutely sick to my stomach. Some of these things are so outrageous, and it saddens me that someone actually thinks that way.

Hey Larry, I'm just trying to help my Buick brothers with what I feel is a very dangerous practice. I have formed my opinion during the past 35 years being a doctor that treats patients that are damaged by mercury from dental amalgams and vaccines. This is what I'm an expert on. I make my living doing this. I've seen young dental colleges die from ALS and AD way before their time from breathing mercury vapor in their dental office. I have very close friends with children that were totally normal until they received their vaccine boosters at age 3. They came home and began banging their head against the wall and screaming and never said another word.

I'm just going to tell you that you are just flat out wrong on this issue. I've tried to reason with many of you but I don't need the drama. I don't give a rip if you want to take the flu shot or mist, eat tuna every day, get mercury amalgams at your dentist, whatever. Maybe you'll be fine but the research shows it greatly increases a person's chance of hundreds of health symptoms and early death.

This is my last time on this thread.

extremist or outrageous? Heaven for bid someone goes against your grain. Does he not have a medical degree hanging on his wall with many years into his successful practice??????? I would think he has more behind him on the subject then probably anyone that has post here. Extremist, that is the democrat speaking, Obama administration labels one who grows his own food a "extremist" But we can't call a muslim that beheads people a extremist but our Res Dr is a extremist. Sheeple

Your experience with a flu shot is exactly what I point to as evidence that the flu shot does not work !
You got the shot and then got the flu.

I have a diametrically opposed opinion. I think the comparison is most fair. And points to the failure of the flu shot.

James, disagree if you want. It's OK. My experience with the flu was nothing like the last time I had it. My argument is the vaccine made it much milder this time. The prevalent strain that mutated this year was advertised as particularly nasty.

Like I said, I appreciate your input. I don't eat tuna very often at all. I haven't had a mercury amalgam filling since I was a little kid. The single use flu vaccine I took had no thimerosal, I checked. Even your links bore that out. I find the "I make a living doing this" comment interesting.

We are all exposed to environmental toxins every day. You can't avoid it.

Larry, I think you are the one that needs to read there post before posting. This comment right here floors me for 2 reasons "One thing that I have learned is that no matter how extremist or outrageous someone's opinion, or ideas are, they can ALWAYS find validation for that idea on the Internet. Anyone can write a blog, put up a website, or put up a youtube video to state their opinion. I've seen things on youtube and on the internet in general that make me absolutely sick to my stomach. 1st reason. Drbuick is a Dr that holds a Degree but you talked down to him like he is trash and what is your back ground in Medicine?????? 2nd point I want to make is your comments above takes a swing at everyone here that is against Vaccines by saying "they can ALWAYS find validation on the net" Dude and what did you do for a living Larry? Do you do all your own work on your car? Not only have you learned a lot of what you know from the internet you re use it.

Yes you are allowed your opinion but so are the rest of us. Your not a Dr either so where did you get your "validation"?

    That's fair.
In previous discussions, I was of the mind that I had to sway everyone to my way of thinking.
I've learned that is an exercise in futility.
    Facts are facts.
    But, individuals' interpretations vary.

I hope and believe that a successful flu vaccine will be developed. That won't happen without test subjects taking the shots.
So, I commend you and others that offer (or are forced to offer) themselves for the research.

The thing is there is zero evidence that it can reduce symptoms... There's no study that supports that statement. In fact there's no study or evidence that supports that flu shots even work.

The handout you get with the vaccine from the manufactors says this much. Do yourself a favor. Before you take any drug or vaccine read the pamphlet that comes with it.

In the Flu vaccine pamphlets they openly admit there's no evidence to support that they will reduce or eliminate flu systems.

Heres is an article that supports this.

    http://www.naturalnews.com/048422_flu_shot_scientific_fraud_controlled_trials.html#

I suggest everyone should read the vaccine pamphlet for themselves.

Im a believer in vaccines that work ..... I do not believe Flu vaccines work. Here's why I feel that way.

Back in the 90's I worked for a large factory that was hit several years in a row with a great deal of the employees becoming ill and missing significant work time. One year we had over 30% of the employees out sick with the Flu at the same time. We all were working extremely long hours 70-80 hours a week and the Flu hit many of us hard.

The company got the bright idea to pay for everyone to get the flu shot. They lined us up and everyone who took the shot would get 1 additional vacation day to use during the slow time of year. Needless to say everyone got the shot. Within days of getting the shot approximately 10% of the work force came down sick with the flu. That year the Flu related missed time was significantly higher then the two seasons prior. They ended the program after one year.

Funny thing --- the following year they hired more employees and stopped working us such long hours and the Flu cases dropped drastically.

I just saw a piece on the tube in which they stated Measles kills 150,000 people worldwide each year. The Measles vaccine is 97% effective against one of the most contagious diseases known to mankind.

Vaccination waivers based upon philosophical concerns, which really what we are discussing here, is one of the most serious public health issues of our time. Because it is such a public health issue, the obligation to be vaccinated supersedes any personal right of choice privilege.

The thing is Larry .....you do not know that the Flu shot reduced your symptoms. I had the exact same symptoms as you this year. So did my wife and two children. We were all tested for the Flu virus and we all tested negative. Turns out It wasn't the Flu that we had but some other virus that was going around.

None of my family got a Flu shot this year either.

    Heres the reality ....

There are 100's of Flu strains and your getting a shot for the most common strains. Those strains always mutate by mid flu season making your shots useless.

The real hard honest truth isn't on the Internet ... It's printed on the label or pamphlet of the product your taking. ALL Flu shot pamphlets clearly state there is absolutely zero evidence that they work or will reduce your symptoms. The manufactures are giving you that disclaimer up front.... Read the pamphlets for yourself.

I read that a lot of the Measle issues now are being linked to Mexicans because of the lack of using the Measle Vaccines. I don't disagree that some of these vaccines have worked some what. But there are plenty of vaccines that have caused many serious health problems as well as death.

I just read this from Newsmax: "Vaccine Risks the Govt Won't Tell You About"
    By Lynn Allison

Vaccines have been touted as one of the great advances of modern science.

But even amid government efforts to get more people immunized against flu and many other diseases, there is mounting evidence that vaccines may not be the medical miracle they have been touted to be:

The flu vaccine has been found to be largely ineffective this season.
There has been a measles outbreak tied to Disneyland in California in which many vaccinated people have nonetheless contracted the illness. Health authorities had previously declared measles eradicated from the U.S.
There was a fast-moving outbreak of mumps cases among pro hockey players, many of whom had been vaccinated.

Not only are vaccines proving less effective than promised, but many people are avoiding them because they are worried about possible side effects, say experts.

“It’s not that vaccines don’t work at all,” says Gabe Mirkin, M.D., an Orlando-based physician. “It’s that we were led to believe they offer lifelong immunity when they don’t.

“How on earth do 20-year-old men on the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team all come down with the mumps if they were vaccinated as kids?”

In fact, there ‘s a pending lawsuit regarding the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine which claims the U.S. government purchased an estimated four million doses of mislabeled and misbranded vaccine for at least a decade.

Whistleblowers claim vaccine tests were fudged to achieve favorable results by adding animal antibodies to blood samples.

“The only way to have full immunity is to get the disease itself,” says retired neurosurgeon and vaccine expert Russell Blaylock, M.D., author of The Blaylock Wellness Report, a monthly health newsletter.

“If a child is breastfed, well nourished, and healthy, the side effects of common childhood diseases should be minimal and he or she WILL have lifelong immunity,” Dr. Blaylock tells Newsmax Health.

“There have been millions of reports about the negative consequences of vaccines, but nobody is talking about that. I have seen devastating neurological diseases develop as a direct cause of vaccines.”

Another issue of concern is potentially dangerous ingredients added to the vaccines.

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC): “Chemicals used in the production of vaccines include a suspending fluid, preservatives and stabilizers, and adjuvants or enhancers that help improve the vaccine’s effectiveness.”

And right on the CDC’s own Web page, is a list of common additives, many of which are toxic:

Aluminum gels or salts of aluminum to help improve vaccine response.
Antibiotics to prevent bacterial growth during production and storage of the vaccine.
Egg protein founds in flu and yellow fever vaccines which may trigger an allergic reaction in some people.
    Formaldehyde.
Monosodium glutamate (MSG) and 2-phenoxy-ethanol, which are stabilizers and can cause allergic reaction.
Thimerosal, a mercury-containing preservative to prevent contamination and growth of harmful bacteria.

“And they don’t mention LPS, or lipopolysaccharides, which are also added to some vaccines and have been linked to many neurological disorders, including multiple sclerosis,” says Dr. Blaylock.

The American Society of Microbiology acknowledges the use of LPS in vaccines, but says its use “is restricted because of unacceptable toxicity.”

The bottom line is that vaccination is not a foolproof way to avoid disease.

American children are the most highly vaccinated in the world —receiving some 49 doses in 14 vaccines before the age of 6. But that hasn’t stopped them from being among the most chronically ill childhood populations among Western nations, say experts.

Dr. Blaylock says that benefits and risks need to be weighed on a case-by-case basis. He points out that vaccine manufacturing is the number-one money maker for big pharmaceutical companies, which use their lobbyists and influence to sway the government to make shots mandatory.

And he also points out that the flu vaccine hasn’t cut deaths and hospitalizations from the flu, despite all the government campaigns and pressure to have everyone vaccinated.

“If you do choose to vaccinate, make sure that your child has adequate amount of zinc, and vitamins B, and C,” he advises. “And never give a child a vaccine when he or she is ill.”

Wonders of the net, I would say this is pretty solid facts as I got the following statements right off the Pittsburgh Penguins NHL web page and they verify that the entire team had there Mumps Vaccines but 15 players still got the Mumps. Pretty hard to call foul here.

Penguins captain Sidney Crosby will be out at least one more game while he recovers from the mumps. He is being quarantined in isolation for a five-day period, per the Center for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations.

Crosby, who missed the team's two games over the weekend, is still being evaluated daily.

It came about as a bit of a surprise to us, head team physician Dr. Dharmesh Vyas said Sunday afternoon. Every indication was that he was well protected against the disease.

Crosby was given immunization and given a booster shot prior to leaving for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia in February. He was also given immunization two weeks ago, along with the entire team, due to the outbreak of mumps in the NHL.

Sure, but I doubt it will work. It might help some, but maybe not! I would just stay away from it...or read it when you're young and then you will for sure be immune.:)

    **edit**

Oh great, now I'm subscribed and will get email notifications...now its like I'm infected!!

Sorry Guys :Dou: When I started this thread I thought it would be interesting to hear everybody's opinion but it seems to be a topic that can get a little heated:( I think as a group We have more combined knowledge than most universities but at time We tend to act like grade school kids:ball: The poll indicates that it is an even split and I think We as a group should agree that We disagree and go on as friends:TU: I don't want to delete the thread so if a Mod could be so good as to lock the thread and We won't lose all the good info that is in it.
    Thanks all and I apologize
