    Camden

My brother works in Camden. I will get him to ask around for some Buick parts...maybe we can uncover these guys... :blast:

Add on to Dougs post: Also spoke to Willie, who suspects along with his insider PD friends that parts of the car, and the trailer with tools are most likley in the south Jersey, Philly or MD. Willie will be making Atco this weekend to spectate and check things out. The Camden PD also lifted numerous prints from the car. Most likely the drivetrain is in some ratty street car and may show up at Atco. These guys obviously didn't know the value of some of the parts as they broke the perfect 1971 GS grille and the rear spoiler. All of the racing parts were removed from the car such as the front monroe drag shocks they even took the rear south side machine control arms along with the rear.

On a positive note, the bumpers and all the chrome trim were left intact, undamaged and the frame is undamaged. And Willie will have his GS home sometime this week.

Well, it's coming home, and I was afraid that wouldn't happen.

I will check the local Want ADvertiser for Buick performance parts.

    ~edit:

With the drivetrain and hood gone...it seems to me that these guys weren't after the parts to sell, because as noted, they left the grille and interior.

This sounds AWFULLY like the parts went right into somebody's car

Also, I'm going to post a link to this on the clubhotrod forums

Does anybody have a picture of the trailer? I'm in Cecil County, MD. I could keep my eyes open for the trailer if I knew what to look for.

Don't bring your baseball bat to Atco, and to heck with the PD. You have to be descreet. We start with the fish in the newspaper and then potato sac the ba$tards with a lead pipe.

good to hear its going home, sad to hear what the jerks did to it.

if they broke the perfect grille, and didnt steal it, that makes me think they didnt really know what they were stealing. that makes me think the parts probably went into a local skylark. just a hunch, but i bet that stuff is within 50 miles of home. its hard to guess.

wille, be persistent with the cops to run those fingerprints thru the natl. system, i bet the theif has been fingerprinted before ( many times ). the courts treat auto theft like a petty crime, lead pipe justice should do nicely. good luck.

I've always appreciated the way the wild west treated horse thiefs-----------they hung 'em. In a way, isn't your car like your horse ? Pulls things when needed, takes you place to place and every once and a while you wash her down. Yup, kinda like a horse. If I lived closer, I'd join the posse'. Good luck.

OMG that is looks terrible.I feel sick right now.I've read this whole thread and I have to say that someone knew you had that car and knew what to take maybe seen you at a show or something and might have followed you home to see where you live.Or a so called friend knew you were gonna be away and took advantage of the fact that he knew you car was in the trailer. Whats the chances of someone not only steeling your trailer but as a added bonus your car being in there.Watch out even for your neighbors you never know that maybe they have a relative or a friend that has this old buick that needs parts. It almost seems like an inside job

Willie, i'm kinda thinking whomever did this was a spite situation.... otherwise the vandalism makes no point. Stripping thieves aren't going to waste their time with the spray can routine.

I presumed the spray can damage came from local teens after it had been abandoned.

Man......I've DROOLED over Willie's car many times over the years at the Englishtown bash.....this is a sad sight but at least you got it back.

Willie - I have a lead on a 71 GS Grille for you. I also have a 70-72 trunk lid you can have.....Wish I had more to offer but I only have '69 stuff
