I just want it to get saved. Nobody builds a Buick thinking they will make money. Some do, but nobody that knows them thinks it. That is a cool project for sure.

I am happy for Duane and he can do the car justice.

    Thank you guys,
I never thought we could end up with the car. There were so many people calling in to the auctioneers with questions, and there was so much interest on site, I really expected the car to sell higher then we could afford. The sale was really surprising, parts prices were way up there, but the cars themselves sold much lower then we expected.

I have known this car and Jimmy for 35 years now, it has been a piece of our local "family" for all that time. I can still remember where/when we got a lot of the parts.

The plans are to finish the car and get Jimmy to drive it when done. What happens after that, I don't know.
    Should be interesting.

    Nope,
They picked it up Sunday. I was too busy getting the car body on my dolly to talk to them.
Should be turning the frame into a rolling chassis this weekend so we can move it out.

Hey now lookie here y'all, at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals this past weekend way up yonder at Rosemont near Chicago.

The show featured a great display of -- get this -- about a dozen 1969 Buick GS cars! Among them, the MOTION PERFORMANCE vehicle. It ws '69 GS heaven. Plus, there was a fully restored 1970 frame and chassis with the 455 and Muncie M-22 "rock crusher" sitting at one end of the corral.
