OK, well you wanted pics, you got um.
There is also a 69 GS air cleaner assembly with a chrome lid that goes with the car. And Jimmy says he also has a set of red-line tires, but we ran out of steam before we found them. He will probably un-earth them thru the week.
    Enjoy.

This should be moved to the "Cars for Sale" forum.

Duane, I'm sure I speak for many on this board......Thanks for all the pics and info on the car, it's much appreciated.
It's a fascinating piece of GS history. Hoping it finds a good home so it's story continues.
Is the history of the car known? Was it built to someone's order or just something Motion decided to try? Previous owners, was it raced, ever featured in a magazine?, etc.
I'm tempted to buzz on down there just to see the auction and visit with you guys.

Not really. It started in "The Bench" as a notice about an auction and grew from there. No one here that posted has any financial interest in the auction of the car. People had information and they shared and answered questions.

I'd gladly pay a reasonable sum if someone could liberate one for me!

    Walt,
Years ago Jimmy changed some of the glass out of the car and the Atco stickers were on the side window when he bought it, so we know it was at least raced there. (I included the pics of this in my above posts.)

We do have a verbal history but it is all here say, and we do not have a shred of evidence to support it, so we have no idea if it is true or not. When Jimmy bought the car the guy told him it was owned by a small movie house and was sent to Motion to be modified for a movie. After the movie was done it was purchased by one of the employees. Then later the guy bought it from him and then sold it to Jimmy. That is all we know and again have no proof of anything and have no pics or any other info about the car..

The reasons I wanted to get the pics out here are many. First Jimmy is my friend and I wanted to show what he was selling, and the parts condition, to help him not "get burned" with the sale. Second, too many of these "interesting" cars get bought up and end up hidden in people's garages. Then no one gets to see them. I wanted to at least get the info out there by showing the parts, as we have no idea where she will end up.

..........and another thing, people have no idea how rare it is that there are people out there like Brad Conley who openly takes his cars to events so they can be enjoyed, and all on his own nickel.

People here are questioning the veracity of whether the car was done in the Motion shop or not, and they are free to do so.
I do know that when Jimmy first got in contact with Mr. Rosen about getting some emblems for the car, because some had fallen off (he could see the glue spots where they had been), he was quizzed about the car for over a half an hour before Mr. Rosen agreed to sell him the emblems. He was also asked to give Mr. Rosen the vin number and a short description of it's features for his records, which Jimmy did in a letter that was sent later. I believe I have a copy of that letter as well.

Anyway, come on down Walt, Rich & Tim say they are going, I will be there, Jim Shiels says he is coming, lets turn this sad day into something better.

PS. I saw a pair of nail head cast iron engine mounts there, so there at least a few nail head pieces laying around, as well as an aluminum 350 Olds intake off a W-31...........and it goes on and on.
