My first Buick was a 72 GS that I had bought brand new in 72. Here is a pic of me at the York US 30 dragway in 1973 I put on the 73 Gran Sport decals on the rear quarters and on back of the rear spoiler and of course the mandatory air shocks back in those days for the L60X15's , Lakewood t-bars etc etc ( now I am dating myself)!!!! AHHHHHH memories!!!
My first car was my first Buick. Bought it at 16 for $800. And it was a GS to boot! Still have it 25 years later. After I bought the Riv, I bought a 71 GS 350 and then a 70 GSX Stage 1 when I turned 18. Unfortunately, I sold the X in 1990 for 6500
First car was a 1941 chevy when I was 14 First Buick was a 1967 Riveria GS I bought new then traded for a new 70 GSX
Technically my first car is my '62, since I kinda inherited it from my parents, however the first car I purchased with my own dough was a '96 Cherokee 5spd, which my Mom still drives to this day.
First car was a 67 Fairlane 500 w/390 I'll never will forget it because I was 15 had no license and after only 2 weeks I was able to achieve my first burn out in it, if you know what I mean. My first Buick is the one on my link.... why did I wait so long?
First car was a '76 Ford Country Squire: Fake wood panels, 460 w/4V, towing package, C6 auto. Bought it from my parents at 16. One year later , I bought a '67 LeSabre Custom four door hartop. Set the hook for Big Buicks.
First car: Paid $650 for a 63 Impala SS, roller cam, 327, fenderwell headers, 4SP, 4.11, Honduras maroon w/black buckets and console...didn’t take long for me as a 16yr old to tear it up. First Buick: Took a 64 LeSabre 2dr HT, 300, AC, auto, White w/blue guts, in trade on a 69 427 4sp corvette, cortez silver, w gun metal seats. The Buick belonged to the guy's mother, it was a nice original that I eventually sold overseas to Kuwait.
First car was a 79 Plymouth Arrow. No A/C, no power steering or anything else, 4-spd, AM radio. 13K orig miles when I bought it in '94 for $1000. Fun car. First Buick is my 69 GS California which I've owned for almost 2 months. Already a fun car, and it's not driveable yet. My sister's first car was an 86 Buick Skyhawk. On the back where it was supposed to say "BUICK," it was missing the "B." So my family called it "The 'UICK.'" -Joe 69 California GS
Joe my first car was a 1963 Plymouth Valiant with the slant 6 and push button tranny. I paid $175.00 for. My 2nd car was my first Buick it was a 1963 Buick Electra 225 4 door. I think I paid $450.00 for it. You could hide 5 people in the trunk to sneak them into the drive inn theater.
First car/Buick was a '70 Rivera GS:grin: 455, Bucket seats, console, posi:3gears: Paid $750 in '93 when I was 15. Ohhh the wild times of a misspent youth:beer (140mph on US460 with 5 friends and 2 strippers crammed in it comes too mind) In '95 the Rivvy was broke down and being worked on in front of my house when my house burned downou: In the madness in the days after the fire, the city decided that it was the best time to enforce the "no disabled vehicle" ordnance:af: So in an attempt to save the Rivvy I traded it for a set of 15'' Buick Rallys to a ''Buick guy", with the understanding that Id like to buy it back when I had a place to live again. A couple of days latter I found out that he pulled the 455 and crushed the rest:shock: :af: :blast: Sometimes life just kicks you in the B@LLS:ball:
1972 Buick Opel Manta Rallye.....bought new.....still have it.ou: At least dogs die and they are gone but these cars are hard to part with. I need to go to AA.......Autos Anonymous.

1966 Buick Special Seafoam Green when I was 15. It was only 3 years old, and in pristine condition. Then I added duel exhaust, mags, WIDE back tires, skinny front tires, on and on....you get the picture. I was grounded at least once a month for drag racing :3gears:
