    Finally:

Warning: For all you who like to indulge in adult beverages... RUSK is a DRY COUNTY... THAT means you will need to bring your own and cannot be bought locally.

There's adult beverage stores within 10 miles of my house if anyone is staying over!

Wayne, the track will be a 1/4 mile track. As much as we all love to see the skyhawk the race is oriented more towards the Conv. But if you want to bring the Skyhawk there will be time only runs as well. Really up to you. :TU:

    See you there!

preparations have begun--took the GN to the track

Well, Jarrod and I went to Temple last night to make a few passes.

The GN ran a best of 13.76 @ 101. :Dou:

I was running my only tires-- BFG Radial T/A's, and my 60 foot times showed it-- around 2.25, maybe a little less, but right around there all night. I did a decent burnout, but I never really hooked up til almost the grandstand it seems. I ran 9.02 1/8's.

It was hot as he*l-- air temp 100* when we got there and still 93 when we left.

The car did run great though. I had about 1/4 tank of 93 and bought 3 gallons of 116 and mixed it in, so I was running on maybe 100 octane gas. I had it turned down to 19 lbs of boost. The coolant temp stayed cool, which was a big concern of mine.

I wonder how much a set of stickier times would help?

    So, I'm thinking now:

    Alchohol injection
    boost controller
    slicks
    25 lbs. boost

    12's? :bglasses: :Do No:

    Ready for Rusk!

Frank, Don't boil street tires. It can actually make them worse. Just do a small burnout to clean them off and warm them a little. Might help.

Stop rubbing it in Frank. :af: :af: :af:

You go buy a car, take it out to the track, have great runs, and then go home happy.

I can't even get the track to open for me to TNT my GS much less make it down the track. (See pissy post on LSPBC board).

Guess I'll keep the Broken Spoke award for another term.

No really, congratulations on enjoying your new car. :beer MAYBE one day I'll get to line up against you, maybe......

I'm not trying to avoid anyone :af: , I'm not scared of anyone :af: or anything :af: , except cutting out on the track again. :ball:

I have really grown to love the Broken Spoke award sitting on my mantle. It is the symbol of my life! :spank: :spank: :spank:

Is is sh*t stirring time yet???

Man, I hear there are going to be some bad azz Oldsmobiles there :moonu:.

:eek2: :eek2:   :TU: :TU:

    Just razzin ya.

I am going to try to make it out. I am having second thoughts about driving the Cutlass out there 4 hours to subsequently thrash on then (hopefully) drive back, but I know I will regret it if I dont. So, WTF.....

Dee, you got any room for a tent at your place??

    Ben

Yep, got plenty of tent room since my GS probably won't be taking up any room in the yard since it will probably be staying home..... :ball:

Ooops, I'm suppose to be saying positive things instead of negative, aren't I? :af:

I forgot what finally fixed your problem with the Cutlass? :Do No:

4 hours from Austin???? I thought it was about 3?

I ain't stirring nothing since I don't have anything to stir with.... :ball:

    I'll go away now......
