What do you have to run to wear a helmet? :Do No: I can't remember since I've never gone that fast. :Dou:

I think she'll be running in the 14's for Noble this weekend. :puzzled:

Might end up making one pass in the 13's though, you never know. :Brow:

I'm pretty sure both of the sanctioning bodies (NHRA and IHRA) stipulate a helmet in a convertible at ANY speed. Helmet required at 13.99 and quicker in a hardtop, if I am not mistaken.

    Yup

She- Robin -used mine.......the timing was set a 4deg advanced..and i was running mid-grade fuel...."hint hint"..maby some 110 and about 30degree advance will get you well into the 13:60's along with a better set of radials.....i dont understand the slower 60 ft times tho....i never went over 2.0 ---60's.....do you leave from a idle..or load up the converter? I always left from an idle..and shocked the suspension..to get the best 60 ft. Keep up the great work bud!!!

Most of my runs have been off idle. In Rusk I was on the bald drag radials and only turned them a smidge to clean them. Spun on every run. Mounted my Hoosier QTPs for this last trip. Track prep was a lot better, but I don't think I heated them up enough until the last run. Tried loading the converter on the last run. It stalled at about 1200rpm, left clean, and that was the 2.03 60 ft, the best I've gotten. Need to try off idle with a good burnout.
I haven't even looked at the timing--I assumed it was optimized. I'll dive into that next (one of my favorite things to tinker with...) No backed-off timing for cheap gas allowed here!!!
