I am undecided, depends partially on the wife and she is a non flu shot person like me.
We are way down the list and at a rate of two million injections every two weeks that's five years or so for everyone to get the the first and second shots.
So there's no pressure to decide right now, that's for sure.

I definitely remember the swine flu of 1976... I was in the military (US Navy) at the time. They stopped the shots just as I was making the turn into the room to get the shot. That was the first time I had seen anybody flinch during the pneumatic guns. Sliced the guy like he was hot butter. NO THANK YOU!!! I didn't have a choice in the military; you are REQUIRED to get vaccinated, especially if going to certain areas. I almost always got sick after any of the flu shots, and am just leery for my own self. I believe in them. And just lost a former family member just before Christmas to COVID, and have another extended family member that MAY have been exposed. THAT really put a damper on their family expected get-together...

Lots more important things to worry about, and anything that gets life back to normal as soon as possible, I am all for. I will take the shots as soon as they are available to me.

Stay away from the politics boys..

I look at all vaccines with a risk analysis. The risk of injury from the vaccine vs the possible risk of catching the disease it's for.

Traveling to africa? Sure shoot me with the TB, rabies, typhoid etc vaccines. I would not ever want to catch those. They can be deadly and treatment is serious.

Catching covid? 99.9% survival rate? Give me a break. I'll take my chances with possible infection, which is highly unlikely because I follow strict protocols protecting myself. I'm more worried about being on some "list" of positive cases than actually recovering from the illness.

My doctor got the Covid after 4th of July Doc said that he lost his smell and taste. After that for a few months he could not taste food for a while and some foods tasted like total crap. So you might be ok if you do get it but you may not like the taste of your steak and just think if it tasted like...well you know sh**

By the time that shot gets to us we will have plenty of info on what is going on with it

I get a flu shot now as I did not before 60 yrs old but I got tired of getting sick just after Christmas so I get the flu shot now
I'll get this shot too as the Covid can screw you up more internally than we think.

The shot has a tiny chip in it to monitor your every movement, we have to keep track of you you have been bad this Christmas, How else is Santa going to know :eek:o_O:D

Oh LAWDY! Now I'm really scared! :D

This is true. However, a few days ago I had to go into an elevator after some very questionable passengers just left. One looked very ill. I was pretty happy to have a p100 on.

My high test North Carolina mountains moonshine has been keeping it away. That stuff will strip the chrome off a Buick bumper! Covid should be afraid....very afraid.
But in seriousness our sons tested positive but had zero symptoms however we know that isn’t always the case. Court is still out for me wanting anything rushed no matter what it is, but to each their own based on their research. I just want my car running

I'll get it as soon as I can. I also got the Polio vaccine as soon as it was available. I never got Polio. It was a good decision. I'll follow the science.

I've never had a flu shot in my life and usually get a mild case once every 5-7 years. Until they can come out with a vaccine for the common cold, I'll pass on flu shots.

I'm definitely not an anti-vaxer. I'll probably get the shingles vaccine. I just got my tetanus booster vaccine in October because lockjaw would suck after working on my old deck full of rusty nails.

My decision on vaccine or not is based on personal risk. Shingles, tetanus, sure. Flu, Covid, I'll pass at least until I'm old enough for them to be life-threatening.
