Im sure we'll play around with it, it just appears now that we're going to put my 350 into a '68 Skylark that we have and give it to my brother and then build a short block 455 that we have sitting next door for me instead lol. But id like to try the Rover head on a 350 thing.

That I don't know, its up to dad if he wants to eat a set of heads to cut them in half just to see everything when we have the patters and water jackets etc. to look at and we know how thick everything is. Maybe, but I cant tell ya haha. :Do No:

    awsome

that means the 350 heads shall follow soon after correct?

Technically yes they will follow some point, in what order and as for the time frame I can't tell you.

We picked up the heads, I didn't bring a cable to upload the pictures so it wont be until next week that I'll have pictures up. However if you have text and picture messaging I can send you a picture message of the heads if you'd like. Send me a message to 480-620-1710 and I'll send you a couple pictures to your phone.

Cool.. so are they being sold as rough castings or is there a CNC program already set up...

Mike, how many sets did you all have cast for the first run?

We have to finish the CNC program to machine them. As a bare casting they're no good to you except as a door stop haha.

Uhh I didn't count haha but remembering the size of the two boxes Id say 8+ sets

So the obvious hope here is twofold. First that you will quickly sell out and need to make another run, but secondly that there will be some for my friends who are still on the fence. Is it asking too much to want to know how many sets are already spoken for?

I'm sorry we only made 4 sets apparently. As for who they're spoken for we don't know exactly except for the fact that if they come out ok (remember these are technically prototype heads, we made so few in case there's something wrong with them that needs to be changed) at least a few of them will go to a guy in Australia, you might be able to snag a set if you call and talk to dad about it.

I figured out how to get it from my phone to my Facebook. We were told that the bare castings as is weight 34 lbs per head (a lot will come off after machining) and a set should cost under $3000 fully assembled, no definite price yet as we don't know what our final costs will be being we still have to machine them.

Also: No idea yet as to what the chamber CC's will be (not machined yet), 11/32 stem valves, 1.90-2.02 intake valves, 1.50-1.60 exhaust valves, flow numbers should be higher than the V6 heads fully ported.

the 2nd set sounds better then the t/a valves for the 350!
for the 350 al heads we should aim for valves around this size
    in. 2.150-2.200 exh. 1.625-1.66 that's be sweet!

I imagine by next spring we'll be hearing about some cool rover/300/340 engine buildups
