I bought my car for 1000 dollars out of a scrap yard in Pasadena MD.
Sold it with a Buick 350 to a friend for 4000 when I didn't have a garage to store it.
Bought it back from same friend for the same price, only it had a 455 in her this time

    Time for an update here...

    1. The $2,000 '72 Centurion convertible is sleeping with the fishes after it burned to the ground, because someone set trash on fire next to it on the sidewalk.

    2. The $500 '73 Riviera was sold to a German guy here in L.A. for $500 after it refused to start and had to be moved because of street cleaning.

    3. $1,000 for the '66 Wildcat

In 1996,I bought my '70 Stage 1 from Fred Weisse on an agreed price of $3,500. Since then,I have put many $$$$$ into the car plus I did about 80% of the car myself.

The Regal I paid $2,500.00 for it, had 17,000 original miles 10+ years ago. Everything leaked, so I rebuilt the car, except the interior, it's all original.

The Century cost me $5,000.00, it had 21,000 original miles 6 years ago and still wears it's original paint.

$400 w/ a partially assembled, freshly rebuilt 300ci. Paid another $600 for an almost rust-free 4dr donor car that had a wiring fire. For that $1,000 I could have had a running, very nice looking 2dr Special from a member here if I hadn't already spent the money I did.

What options did your GN have? Mine was $18,100 and I thought I got a good deal. Paid sticker price. I bought mine in March of '87 which was the tail end of the early production. I had a hard time finding one. I was told "they are all gone". Then another dealer in Georgia had one en-route which got diverted to me. When the later production hit the market, they were marked up to $24k + in this area. They sat around for a long time. Did you have to wait for the "tuner tech" to come set yours up? That was an excruciating week for me.

    '70 GS Stage 1... $500.00...

That's a lot less than I would've paid for just the NOS '70 GS Grille that came with it!:Smarty::TU:

Well I dug out the paperwork that I haven't seen in years and it looks like I paid 17606, which was sticker. Must be I remembered the amount that I financed!

Anyway, the car is a solid roof one and had a MSRP of 16154. Options are PDL, PW, P trunk release, body side molding, frt seat reading lamp, lighted mirror, cruise, power antenna and concert sound, bumping it to 17606.

I bought it in January of 88. I'll never forget that they had about 30 "leftovers" all in a row. I didn't know about the art of dickering at that point in my life, and I remember telling the salesman that if he could get the financing done, then I'd take a black one LOL!

Not sure why your car needed a "tuner tech" to "set it up". I don't even know what that means. :Do No: Maybe it didn't run good?

You're a smarter guy than me. I sold mine in '94 and I don't even know why. Mine had the T-Tops but no concert sound.
The original set of Eagle Gts only lasted about 15k on mine. Could not stop doing the "turbo launches".
The dealer I bought mine from was a small dealer in a small town. They said they had never recieved a GN before that one. The sales and shop guys were all over the car. The dealer did have a blue 2-tone T-type on the showroom floor though. I would have bought that if I could not get a black one.
Glad to see you still have yours!
