December of 1988 I bought a 100% number matching 70 Stage 1 from the famous Larry Gibson...for $3900. I was a college student at the time but it was well worth it. It's the car in my avatar. It took me an hour to get Larry down a $100 (was $4000)...many years later Larry told there another guy waiting across the street to buy it and that's why he didn't want to budge on the price. LOL

$200 for my 1967 Skylark two days ago ;)

All original, all it needs is a good cleaning, some paint and a little engine TLC

Back in '82, I picked up a 72 Skylark Custom, Fire Engine Red, White interior, rally wheels, for 100.00. It had a blown 350 4V, and I already had an engine. That was a great deal...And a really nice car...
My 70 Skylark Custom Convertible, bought in 1998, was a 2800.00 deal. needed an engine and total restoration, though...
My brother bought his 70 GS455 for 700.00 in 1981 at a car lot.

$600 for my 1976 Electra in August of 2004, cosmetically flawed, but had a great interior, never had many issues until March 2009. Haven't driven it much since then.

And again in '90 or so(That is Terry Bunton, who I met at the GS Nats in '88 or '89 I think and got me into the LSPBC. Lost track of him. See Dean, Terry really did see my GS.)

    1991 69 LeSabre $1300 (27,000 original miles)
    1998 72 Electra $475 (parts car)
2004 73 Electra-traded a couple of cylinder heads and an intake manifold for it.

    1986 72 Chevy C20 $875
    1992 76 Chevy 4x4 $500

Should've saved it all up and actually bought a nice car, but that probably wouldn't have been as much fun.:Smarty:
