One topic or thread I really ever regret opening and reading... Thanks to so many of you for making my once favorite daily site now seem like a camp ground of political anger, negative race relations. The one place i come, talk and share my passion for old cars and of most favorite topic and joy, "My Buick".

I would like to associate myself with JW's initial post. I also would like to comment on Mike's post above: I have been around for a while, and over the years I have been lied to, defrauded, robbed, shot at, had my car vandalized, and mugged. In all cases by whites.
One thing to remember is that we whites did everything possible to prevent blacks in this country from becoming educated. In many states it was against the law to teach a black to even read or write. This went on for a couple of hundred years. Now we wonder why blacks do not have the innate desire for education that many other races have. Blacks that do receive a good education do substantially as well as those of other races. Those that do not become educated have a tough life. Half of all black kids born in the United States are born to unwed mothers - often who are children themselves. These kids frequently grow up as feral children because their child-mother has no parenting skills. The reason that blacks are disproportionately imprisoned is because these feral kids are disproportionately involved in crime. Blacks represent about 13% of the U.S. population, but commit just under 50% of all homicides (this is easily checked for accuracy), about 90% of these homicides are on other blacks. Somehow we have to break the cycle of poverty and lack of education among young blacks. Just building better schools won't work- it's been tried. Young black children have to actually attend the schools, do the work, and learn that basketball is not the likely way out of the cycle of poverty. This isn't happening, and this is why the mob mentality of Ferguson takes over. You rarely see affluent, well-educated individuals burning down the local NAPA store because they are pissed off at a cop.

    For sure, Ken.

Well said John. And if the "leaders" like Sharpton would focus on that, instead of pot stirring, it would be for the better of everyone.

Black lives matter to blacks only when they are taken by a white person.

True. Statistics do support this. But truth is ignored in pop culture and is entirely irrelevant. All that matters now is feelings which are relied on exclusively to make decisions in modern day America and Europe. To our own detriment.

As I stated in my post, we all have a story to tell. My point was that most of us at some time in our lives have had reasons to become racist but it is each individuals decision to decide what path to go down. A scum bag is a scum bag, no matter what color or race they are. My early life experience was to fear blacks (at least groups of them) due to being assaulted by them, the same way I would have feared any group of any other race that physically attacked me, especially at the age of 9. That is human nature.

I was once called racist in a Walmart parking lot when I apparently took a parking spot that someone felt was reserved specifically for them. As I walked by their SUV they were screaming out the passenger window at me with tons of expletives. Sad part was that there young child (8-10 years old) was sitting in the passenger seat taking in all of the hate being spewed by her mother. Was that necessary?

Am I a racist, yes, but it is against any scum bag regardless of color/race, including white!

I am a chaplain in the justice system for 6 years now sitting in on parole hearings, counselling kids and preaching.

First off, not one post as I could tell addressed the real problems with the officers being murdered (they were not killed). Fifty years ago that idiot would not have been on the street, he would have been locked long before he had an arrest record 10 pages deep. Liberal judges and liberal ideals put these people on the street when they should be in prison.

Secondly, 50 years ago violent crazies were never allowed on the street unsupervised. We have less than 40% of the violent crazies locked up per capita to day than 40-50 years ago. They are given drugs to "control" their issues. But no on monitors them insure they take their meds. There is also significant data and evidence to prove these drugs make some people more violent than they were before they took them.

Thirdly, Research will prove virtually all the "mass murders" were committed by people on those SSRI drugs (Selective Serotonin Re-Uptake Inhibitors).

    Learn more: http://www.naturalnews.com/039752_m...tric_drugs_antidepressants.html#ixzz3MfUci8NO

We will never know who is on these drugs and how many people hurt others because they are on them.

Lastly, I am dealing with a 15 year old juvenile who killed his first at 8 years old, was released, shot his second at 13, was released and is now again in prison with me dealing with him for shooting his third victim. How does some judge justify letting him out just like the guy who murdered the cops. I also have a 17 year old who is being released and has committed three separate rapes and been convicted of all three. Again a liberal judge is releasing him (I was at the hearing) with the chief of parole screaming at the judge "are you nuts"!

As long as we continue to show them there are no real consequences for their actions the insane violence will continue.

I think the term racist is being used incorrectly these days and being confused with prejudice. A racist believes that someone does not have the same inalienable rights as they do because of their race. Someone who is prejudiced against certain groups of people, perhaps of a race of people, make assumptions about people in that group beforehand, I.e. prejudging.

    Kevin,

You're right, and many people don't understand the difference, or know the difference yet ignore it, or know the difference yet use the terms interchangeably for their own agenda.

I agree. When a white person kills (no matter if justified or not) a black, it automatically gets the race card thrown. I guess that whenever a white person is killed (again whether justified or not)by a minority, we need to start throwing the race card. It shouldn't be that way. If someone is breaking into my home, attacking my (or your) wife and I feel I need to use deadly force, I will, no matter what race, religion, etc they may be. But, if they happen to be black, I know my intentions will be questioned. Not fair is it? I feel a criminal is a criminal and I do not judge people by their skin color, hair length sexual orientation or piercings. Before selling everything, I had a diverse bunch of employees working for me. Some of the best were those considered "Goth". They were good with customers and their friends were both courteous and polite.

    Interesting stuff.

Out of curiosity, how do you folks define "majority" when it comes to the people in your neighborhood, people you interact with at the store, people who you encounter when you travel out of your area, county, state, region, country?

I'm thinking you didn't understand the gist of my question.

    Ok, what is a "minority"?

Holy cow-this is quite a thread. My long dead dad was a cop with many years in both black and red neighborhoods. My long dead father-in-law traveled extensively on the reservations. Both were bothered/saddened by generation after generation of the same 'stuff' and had no real solutions. We advance in technical areas, but struggle in the social areas.

Ive learned that if obvious solutions are not being implemented it means that someone is making a ton of money or increasing political power by maintaining the problem. The racism industry is no exception.
