I like it............... I am going to pospone the hood mod until after the meet for a couple reasons but mostly so I will have the car together for the reunion.
I am not sure what Steve has right now. He has been in contact with me as he will not be able to make it this year. His only replies have been on this board. We need to figure out whether to hold it this year on wait until next year. I prefer this year as my plans were to bring my turbo car next year and I believe it will not be ready this year. Mike
Sounds like Steve has issues. I plan on having both our cars there this year so it would be best for us to have it as vacation is already set.
Hate to say this, but I'm beginning to seriously doubt that my car will be ready for October either. I'm working on it as best I can afford to, but you guys know how that goes. If the Reunion got postponed til next year, it probably wouldn't hurt my feelings too much.
My vote also (if there is such a thing) would be for this year as my health might not hold up for another year. I probally can make this year only.
Looks like its going to have to be this year. Lets get these cars done October is pretty far away. So I spoke with Steve today. Seems there isn't a lot of interest outside this board. Steve told me that he will not be able to make it to BG this year so if we are going to go through with this, someone will have to step up to get it on track. otherwise we might have to wait till next year. So I am willing to assist with this and Steve said he will still do the award. We need someone with the ear of the GSCA and see if they are still willing to support this class. Steve seems to think only 6 or so cars will show up including my 2 Suncoupes. Sounds like we need to do some serious work to get it done this year.
I will definitely be there. My car won't be finished by any means, but I will definitely be driving it down there. Mike
I feel that we need to go with this year also. My plans are to bring my turbo car next year (it will not be ready this year). I am fearful that we will not have that good of a turn out. Mainly due to people not able to put everything aside and say they will be there. It is not the fault of the owners, but the times we live in today. None of us are truly able to just do what we used to do. It is not only money in our pockets. It is dealing with the complications we have in oour ever so busy world we live in. I will help and do whatever it takes to make this the best effort we can do. What would you like me to do ohn? Try to contact Richard to ensure they are still supporting us? Even if it is only 6 cars? I believe they will, but need to try for more. Mike
