Buickjunkie, that's what I am, my original handle was 64-300-lark, which is the car I started with.

it's my handle on all vehicle forums.

I have it because back in 1998 I had a 1987 Pontiac GTA, and I live in Austin, TX.

    I bought a 2000 T/A WS6 Convertible new in 2000, and my first old Buick in a long time in 2001 or so. It was a 1971 GS 350 Convertible and I put a 455 in it. That's when I found v8Buick.com!

By far the best forum I have ever read, much less joined.

Ha Ha --I'm old now but used to drive for a wrecker service. We had several 50's trucks mostly Fords. The transmissions were synchronized as to 2.3.and 4. But with a very heavy load, say a car and the wrecker in sugar sand you sure couldn't lose speed to downshift to first so you doubleclutched. It sure surpised a few in my 55 Pontiac 3 speed with a 57 347 cu engine. Drop back to first at 25 MPH.

Many years ago on my first skydive, upon deployment I was expecting the worst and was certain that if there was a malfunction to be had...it would be on this jump.

I immediately went through all of my preliminary checks and the only thing in my mind that seemed out of the ordinary was my slider(18x24" piece of fabric that slows the deployment of the canopy..) was down and I could have sworn it was supposed to be up with the canopy at the top.

I spent the next two minutes pumping my lines trying to get the slider to go back up! With my hands on my cutaway handle getting ready to chop it, I suddenly realized that there wasn't a damn thing wrong with my canopy and immediately headed to the dropzone. By this time there was no way I was going to make it back to the intended landing area so I aimed for the closest flat spot and landed my first jump. I was out of breath and exhausted...:eek2:

Once I was on the ground my instructor wanted to know why I refused to listen to the radio guidance he was offering during my little brain fart...come to find out after watching the video, my radio flew off @ about 10000 feet.

All he could say after I explained everthing was "F$%^&$#n" SLIDER...

That became my name from that moment on @ the DZ.

I was primering the quarter panel on my buddy's 65 Bonneville during it's resto. He said that the way I did it I looked like a robot. This was back in 99 and he Called me the "Timonator 2000". He still calls me Timonator to this day. And the Bonneville still looks sweet.

Apparently, I tried to cram too much info into my handle.

I should have used 'Scotty Mack' but it was too late!

    QPsychosis Comfort over Speed

Alright, I'll jump on the bandwagon. As you may or may not know, I'm a gamer in addition to being an old car fanatic. My handle, at first, was always plain old Quantum. As that became more popular and was stolen frequently, I added the Psychosis. I'm not sure why, though I guess it could have something to do with my...interesting personality. At any rate, Quantum Psychosis is something of a mouthful, so the Quantum became Q and I left the Psychosis. Voila.
