Mine just popped out of the air one day. There might be some strange correlation between the first letter in those red words at my banner signature in the bottom of my post, but I could be wrong. It just seems like every forum I am on, somehow those three letters pop up, and strangely enough, the picture of my wife from a few halloweens ago always seems to be my avatar picture in every forum I am on. My handle is an old nickname given to me by the other drag racers back in the day. I used to have a tiger tail that stuck out of my gas tank. Next thing I know, I was Tigger.
I didn't have a Buick at the time that I registered here, but knew I wanted another one some day. So, it was sort of my "second phase" of ownership that I was working towards at the time. When the time came to put a BBB in my Skylark, I was going to take it another step and go with TA S2 heads and put a scoop on the hood, but decided instead to go with TA S1 heads and make it a sleeper by painting them. (Never did paint them). Hopefully, nobody with a real Stage 2 car hates me for taking the username. :laugh:
I've been r0ckstarr since the beginning of the internet. Way back in 1994 when we first got internet, I wanted a name that was universal. Something that I could use anywhere on the internet. That way, wherever my name appears, it would always be me. Somehow I ended up with r0ckstarr. Don't remember how I came to the conclusion of it, but I stuck with it. I think it was because I like music. I've used this name since day 1. If you see this name on another message board, or anywhere else on the net, chances are that it is me. (sometimes r0ckstarr79)
I like old music, rock 'n roll and sixties mainly, and oldrocka was the first thing that came to mind when I was trying to think of a name.
Madman was my nickname as a teenager. I had a nihilistic streak and a terrible attitude for several years, so none of my friends would get in a car with me driving:3gears: But Im feeling much better now........ Oh, and Im from WV and WV-MADMAN looks better in ALLCAPS:laugh:
Well my name is Kurt Combs and most of my email accounts start with kcombs. I didn't realize I could have come up with a cool handle until after I had created the account. I was just trying to come up with something I could remember easily. On fordification.com I am kurt combs, which really lame, but you can't change it once you create it.
Mine I use every where since it's me. For some reason though some sites have someone else who uses my screen name which must mean that there is another me somewhere else uzzled: BAM are my initials Max is the first 3 of my last name Back in my aol days I was Bmax and this grew from there as that name seemed to always be taken. Oh man,my nick goes back to an old website called highperformancecars.com...I raced on the streets and at the track,eventually in nsca and nmca ez street class. There was a chat session all the time,and there were some heavy hitters like Mike Moran,Annette Summer,Kurt Urban and lots of street legal racers in the series chatting there. I went by nitrousfish and even had my own clothing line on cafepress,the shirts are rare commodities these days LOL
I bought a 64 convertible and was going to pull the Chevy and install a BBB when I found the board website.
