I always though you were a car-man from TX, which you are, just didn't know your initials were MAN. Cool! I thought this would have some interesting stories.

When I worked at TA Performance, I use to list my occupation as "Buick Power Provider". I also like the spin on White or Black, or whatever power. Not a racist, just is a strong blunt statement.

I remembered that I also had a local screenprinter here run off a bunch probably 10 or so years ago,I gave em away to folks that helped out at the track.
The shirt design isn't real special, just a bunch of text.
    I know I have a worn out example somewhere,when I get home tonight,I'll post a pic...Fish

I restored cars for 9 years! When I got married I needed a little more stable income so I got a "Real Job" and restoring cars became a hoby.

I now build master molds, templates, and Prototypes for agricultural products.

While there I was found to be extreemly slow at it. "this was about the time Forrest Gump came out on VHS" My predicessor was good at what he did but was unsuccessful at building a particular part 3 times so I was put on that task as a last resort. He would finish a part in 3 weeks to a month and the part would come back UNSAT. My part took 7 weeks to complete but came back "Perfect" .003 off square on a 6'7" part less than a human hair. And landed the company a 3 million dollar contract!

So like calling the biggest dude you have ever seen "Tiny" I was nicknamed Speedy. The Gump came after the contract was landed and the Boss realized that my 7 weeks was much better placed than almost 13 weeks my predicessor had put in. (we were working on multiple projects).

Hence SpeedyGump and the name stuck! Now more people know me as Gump in the town I live in than even know my Real Name.

It's sort of strange how we get our nick-names sometimes. These are all great stories!
