Corporal will always out rank a captain in my book.. (oh did I mention that I have a severe disliking towards officers?)
I've been working in nuclear power, processing radwaste since 1980, so back when Prodigy still existed on the internet I didn't have a screen name a friend suggested meltdown. I shortened it to mltdwn. When Prodigy went under and I switched to AOL mltdwn was actually taken, so I just added the 12 to the end and that's been my screen name since about 1990 on most boards
I miss seeing and Hearing! the A-10s that were stationed at Myrtle Beach...what a sound! C-5s are a close second when it comes to that,too...Fish
Ugh Myrtle Beach was just another one of those good deals the Air Force just couldn't keep. Who wouldn't want to fly Hawgs, land on the runway which is right on the beach, then head to the beach to soak up the rays later that day. Eilson AFB up in Alaska was another one of those great deals they got rid of. Apparent someone up in the chain doesn't like beautiful places to live, they would rather live somewhere like Clovis, NM. (no offense if there is someone from there on the board!)
I was named by Buickracer ( Roberta Vasilow ) when I joined the Michigan chapter of the GSCA. I guess it is because I was the oldest guy around still trying to go fast:3gears:
Mine is pretty easy to figure out. Although I did sell the 71, I will someday have a third again. :TU: -------------- Eric
about two years ago I dropped a drill with the bit installed on my bare foot while hanging shelves in my sons room. The bit went about 1/4 inch into my foot and squirted blood across the floor. ou: Since that incident my kids joked with me calling me Drillbit for being dumb enough to use power tools barefoot.
I don't mind em if they have a little surface rust, otherwise I hate rust! It takes a lot of work to resurrect a rotting carcass.
At the machine shop I worked at, when I started there I had a scraggly goatee (as my wife has said) a guy started calling my shaggy....and it stuck. I guess after Scooby Doo, but I really dont resemble Shaggy at all, except maybe "my scraggly goatee" which I dont have now. Forward a few years when I first hit this board and had to register, what better else then shaggy....well it was taken.....then I put finisher after it. Shaggyfinisher it is. The finisher part came from working in metal finishing room at the machine shop I worked for. Steve "shaggyfinisher" McPherson
