Well ,I have been a very good friend with Ron "Mooney",as we called him here for many years. We spent a lot nights cruising around looking for action, him with the fast GN,me with the GS.Many times I went into the GN with him looking for trouble. He moved to SC a few years back, and on my surprise 80 birthday party my wife did not invite him because of the distance. He found out through Larry the Wizard and ,very insulted stated to my wife that he was c0ming anyway. And he did and he was welcome. So my wife and my son and me all family are going are going to miss you Ronnie. We know you are doing well over there, may God bless you and your family.Feel bad for your Wife and children and the many gran kids.Bruno and Stephanie.
He was a staple of the board for many reasons, and very likely one of the best people to be around in public based on these stories . I wish him high MPH and low ETs on the big track upstairs
Very sad. Mooney is probably the reason we got moderators here, but boy was it fun to see him crank it up in early days. Rest in Peace Mooney.
Such a sad tragedy, especially with the holidays upon us. You just never know when your time is coming. Heartfelt condolences to his wife and family.
Ron made this Canuck most welcome at the first BPG event he attended. It took some getting used to his unique humor, but as Yardley said, once he knew you, you had a friend forever. R I P Mooney. I hope heaven is ready for your arrival.
Wow, sorry to hear this. Condolences to his family. I too just read and liked his post about the 72 last night.
Damn, sorry to hear. He was a character on here and I can't imagine what he was like in real life! Condolences to his many friends on here and especially his family. Godspeed, hopefully he's rolling to heaven at 200+ in his ZR1.
Very sorry to hear this. Ron and I went back and forth many times, but he always came and shook my hand at the Nationals. I know that under all the ball busting and bs that there was a good man and the life of every party. Condolences to his friends and family. Godspeed and RIP Ron.
I'm still in shock by this. Ron was definitely one of the funniest people I've met. He's helped me a few times and I got to go for a ride in his Vette at BG this year. Still drove like someone my age. I'll definitely miss his presence at the Buick events.
Sad to hear at this time of year, condolences to his family, did not know him but enjoyed reading his posts... RIP
Rest in peace Ron I enjoyed his posts here on the board. Godspeed. My condolences to his friends and family
