Wow, unbelievable.. we have all lost a great friend, and a real character...

Our experiences at events and on the board here, will be lessened by his passing.

    Rest in Peace

    JW

now I am off to find all 40 of his usernames to put RIP on them.. :D;)

Wow...he was a fixture here and obviously meant a lot to those who knew him. My condolences to the family and to all of you who knew him, amazing that he was posting one minute, and then gone the next. Just shows you how fragile and precious life is.

Amidst all the sadness, I have to say that if Mooney was here today he would have loved to see this thread.

    Agreed Duane.

Speaking of Moon stories, one of my favorites was a relative (I think it was) of his who was a firefighter trying to pull a VERY large woman out of an upper floor window of a burning building. I'm sure he took some liberties and "Mooney-ized" it a bit, but I heard that story multiple times and it left me in stitches every time.

  15. Mooney will be missed for sure. He was always a person I looked forward to seeing at events. His charisma and humor always put be in a great mood and had me laughing often uncontrollably.

This is no more evident than watching me in the background of the BPG after hours video.

I just talked with Ron's wife Josephine. Her kids flew down to be with her, and she is, I think, still in shock. She sounded like she was doing well. I'm thinking this will hit her all at once later on. I told her about this thread, and she was very appreciative. The funeral home set up a viewing for the family, and Ron will be cremated. Right now, she is thinking that she really doesn't want to stay down in SC without Ron, and she may relocate back to NY to be close with her family. She told me she would like to have a memorial service in NY for Ron in June around the time of his birthday. He would have been 75 this June. That is the latest information I have.

I think it would be really cool to spread his ashes at E Town, or Cecil, but that's up to the family.
