Post the pics. Love the car. Hey I came to Bowling Green just to see you and the car. Got the T-Code down to 13.22.7! Just a few thousandths off of my old time at Cecil. the air is good here sh**y Indy 500s. U r gonna show? I drove 900 miles from NY to see it!:beers2: :beers2: :beers2: :beers2: :TU: :TU: :TU:
Wow as much as you guys chastized the muscle car guys they sure did keep this Buick a Buick and not a chevy clone. They could have dropped in a 454 put some ss stripes on it and call it a day. Instead they clearly stuck with a GS or radical rendition of what a 73 gsx would look like. The hood Tach, hood striping and even the rims (you guys may not see it, but I see subtle rally similarities) all took this car to a new modern level. In tv you have to please a wide audience and plain and simple a modified older car stands out against a restored classic no matter which one truly looks better. I am impressed with the Blue Collar Buick and I hope to see more done to it down the road!
i just got back from bowling green also(semi wrecked stuck on the interstate for almost 3 hours) thanks for the photo the car looks sweet but i am not a fan of the wheels (just my own personal opinion......that and a buck fifty will buy you a cup of coffee at shoneys....) i do like the painted bumper scott
Hey old guys: let me get this straight- guy who makes a living building cars on tv, found this thread, this board, and does a car that hasn't seen air time since the rockford files (the show was five years befor my time anyway), and we have to rudely bitch like sixteen year old girls because the wheels TOO BIG in diameter by two inches!? Tommy, the car looks great, and those wheels look awesome! Again, I am biased (my '71 has a set of AO code chevelle rallys), those buick rallys never did anything for me. I think the stance of that car is nuts on. You old guys need to remember that the show is all about the hottest trends, seventeens were so 2000. Now, if the car has spinners, that might be a different story. As a greasy fingernailed viewer who doesn't have cable, I would love to see you guys go to the boneyard, find a camaro SS, and do a T56 swap! KFD
i love the car if they made those wheels in 18s they would be on my car they actually used to they where kmc hotwheels 68s they discontinued them for some reason
I personally would like to see more rubber and less rim, but that's the great thing about wheels, they're easy to change! :TU: As mentioned, that rim in 18's I think would look mint. Overall I think it looks good and have been enjoying the build and coverage and details of the changes (like the door handles and bumper mods).
i will try to get a pic of her back side. woo-hoo.... if you guys want to check her out i will be at gs nationals in ky tomorrow for a bit. Glad to hear you guys like blue collar and if you don't please keep watchin the show maybe we will build something that you do like.
Well, I'm planning on making my 73 Electra Limited 2 door stupid fast if you guys want to get in on that!
Wish I was going to Ky but yet again I am not. So I would love to see the ass end. Thanks for posting.
they brought the car out to BG today it looks better in person than in the photos i stand corrected..... the wheels look good (i didnt care for them before)but i still didn't like the low profile tires (just my opinion) i think they ran it (13's):Brow: very nice scott
Ran high 13s spinning quite a bit. Glad they came and actually ran the car too. I think I might be on tv. Well maybe they were just trying to get film of my girlfriend who knows. o No:
