Not a movie, but a memorable scene from "CHiP's". I saw this when it first aired.( sorry, it's in Spanish- Cinco de Mayo?)uzzled: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yg9W...4F472FDC&playnext_from=PL&playnext=1&index=15 And this from Thunderbolt and Lightfoot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFIgKk-k9N8&feature=related And a '68 Special getting beat up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3P9BvD4hzio&feature=related
WoW Junkman!.....that last one with the '68 Lark was thoroughly enjoyable! Nice find......better check those motor mounts.... :Brow: lol
I don't watch much TV, but a few days ago I was bored. I found that we catch a channel called "This", that plays old movies. There was a movie on called Highway Patrol. The police cars were 1955 Buick Century's. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0047739/
My 73 Riviera was in Semi-Pro in a few different scenes. There was also a silver 68 Riv and a 70 Riv (White, I think).
How about the current Orkin commercial with the green skylark and the cockroach driving and lighting up the tires!
[/QUOTE] When you see the movie you might recognize these two stars. the good werewolf:laugh: and his girlfriend.
Fletch Bowfinger My Cousin Vinny FX2 Samuel L Jackson in "Shaft"-(was either a Regal T-Type or Monte Carlo I don't remember) Fatal Beauty Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Im watching Invincible with Mark Wahlberg and thought I would try and point out all the buicks throughout the movie: 1971 GS being pushed off the street right in the beginning. 1962 Buick when they are playing a pick-up game of football right after the October 7th game. (still withing the first 7 minutes of the movie.) The same 71 GS previously mentioned is shown right after Wahlberg gets tackled. 1970 GS when he goes for a run under the bridge (the car is blue) 1971 GS convertible when he is running on the sidewalk in the same scene has the blue 70 is shown. The same 71 GS convert is shown passing by the line of strikers. A 70 GS\skylark passes by the practice field as coach Vermil (spelling) takes a drink of water. And thats all i got for now. First day of football practice.
In the beginning of "Sasquatch Mountain" (within the first 15 minutes thankfully) there is a real nice 66 Wildcat GS parked in front of the dinner and also at a small service center. Only a few seconds but I saw it:laugh: . The movie was on the Sci-Fi channel a few weeks ago,my 2 boys yelled for me to come see it.
I was watching part of The Fugitive the other day. Shortly after his escape, while he was walking along some road, Harrison Ford got picked up by a lady driving a 73 or 74 Regal/Century 2 door. I am not all that familiar with those years.
Watched "Armored" yesterday. There's a nice looking Riviera in the first half of the movie, I think its a 72? (Sorry, I know 68-9 skylarks and GS's better than the Rivs.) On the plus side, it didnt get trashed either! Very good looking car.
Those were the model 68 tourback two door sedan. Of the 270 made; 268 went to the California HP. The other two went to the TV show Highway Patrol. 135 were Dynaflow. 135 were Synchromesh. 1955 Century was the fastest production car for 1955 From Buick.net ; <table border="1" cellpadding="5" cellspacing="0"><tbody><tr><td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>CENTURY SERIES Model 61-Four-Door Tourback Sedan.............................13,269 Model 63-Four-Door Riviera....................................55,088 Model 66C-Convertible Coupe....................................5,588 Model 66R-Two-Door Riviera....................................80,388 Model 68-Two-Door Tourback Sedan.................................270 Model 69-Estate Wagon..........................................4,243 </td></tr></tbody></table>
