There's a movie called "The Line" that has a '65 Special 4dr in it about four minutes into the movie. I love it when I spot a Buick in a movie because they never get any attention. :TU:
I watched "9 to 5" the other day (yea, I can't believe it either), in which a powder blue '69 Skylark is used throughout the movie: http://www.imcdb.org/movie.php?id=80319
Not many Buick's in movie's that I can remember right now but two movie's come to mind. First, 1993's "Dazed & Confused" w/Matthew McConoughy, in a Black '70 Chevelle SS454 LS-5 and Ben Affleck in an early 70's primered Duster) etc. But a Gold '71 Buick Skylark 2dr can be seen a couple times. Most notably when the "kid" is getting paddeled from Ben Affleck as a last day of school year "right of passage". Then again at the Keg party later in the movie. Lots of 70's iron in that movie due to the 1976 timeframe in the flick. Next one is 1976's "Stay Hungry" with Jeff Bridges, Sally Field & Arnold Shwarzenegger. Jeff had a 1974 Burgundy "Riv"......:Brow: Anyone else remember a Buick, or notably an A-body? o No:
Varsity Blues. Dawson's character in that movie has a nice '72 coupe with the vinyl half roof (not a SunCoupe, though...) KFD
I watched "The Mothman" on Sci-fi channel last week, there was a nice looking 66 Skylark, silver with black vinyl top sitting on a motel lot all by it's self (present day) The funny thing about it (other than the whole cheesy movie) the same Skylark was in the flashback to the Silver Bridge collapse in 1967. It was sitting on the bridge in traffic. I know, I know, why watch it....hey it's 10 minutes from me, plus my daughter lives there. Gotta love the Mothman
A movie from 1980 called the "Hollywood Nights", great low brow humor movie with lots of cool cars specifically a 65 Riv and a 65 Skylark in it. Must have seen that at the drive in about 100 times one summer.
Haha my dad spotted this one a few months ago I think. 69 Skylark. Back to the future II. http://www.imcdb.org/movie_96874-Back-to-the-Future-Part-II.html
"invincible" about the regular guy who makes the Philadelphia Eagles has a 70 or 71 GS convertible in the beginning.
I do believe the movie was beaches with bette midler, I have it but would have to watch to be 100% correct but wasn't there a 68 GS in that one, i think it was red? allen
I have that movie! Besides a few "car" mistakes, they made a boatload of mistakes (continuity and such). Two very obvious blunders is the TransAm with 1982 Z28 rims and in another scene, there's an 1980's Datsun parked in the street. There's other goofs I can't think of.
Red Rock West with Niclolas Cage and Dennis Hopper 1994. http://www.fancast.com/movies/Red-Rock-West/42239/695525725/Red-Rock-West/videos
Watched "The Lovely Bones" a week or so ago, creepy movie about a serial killer posing as an average guy living in the average neighborhood killing a 14 year old girl that lived across the street. Creepy especially for those of us with daughters. Anyway, always parked in the neighborhood was a nice 1972-73 Black Riviera. :TU: The story was set in 1974.
Yea, Good lookin' out on that "D & C" flick mjt. I just remembered another with a beauty of a Blue '72 or 3 Riv w/Chrome Wheels driven by Kevin Kline in 1997's "The Ice Storm" (Sigourney Weaver,Joan Allen, Cristina Ricci and an early Katie Holmes & Tobey McGuire) Wild infidelity movie right out of the early 70's and showing "Car Key's in a Bowl" parties of the day? Crazy nice Riv tho.
