Being as hot as it was at Duanes, I believe 4 or 5 an hour is more like it. I ripped through a 12 pack of green dew down there and started poaching red dews from Rich. :Brow: We'll be bringing a couple cases of dew to share with everyone, along with some other goodies to be decided later.
I have too vote keep it BUICK, any year, bodystyle, amout of doors, rust or not, hair dryers, blowers, NOS equipped, but all Buick. Will we have a seperate lot for "our" cars from the rest of the crowd that is there? I'm looking to shoot a bunch of video there and would like to see an entire area of Buicks only. o No: 44 degrees this AM, hope we don't need a coffee pot too.
Hey what time are we suppost to meet up over there?i need to get intouch with the NY guys Alan,Larry and so on,also i dont know whats needed to bring, any suggestions i`ll bring it. Thanks
Wanted to ask you guys if it would be a problem if my cousin which is one of the people coming with me anyway can bring his car?its not a Buick but its a `70 Plymouth GTX,i dont want to cause a conflict so i figured i`d ask. Thanks
Buick Picnic George , tell your friend with the GTX to change the "T" to a "S" in GTX on his car and everybody should be okay with that . IDOXLR8
And its getting closer... I think this has been discussed already, but Beemer (Mike Littlejohn) and I will be meeting somewhere near Poughkeepsie to travel down together... I was just wondering what the status was on other people meeting up with us somewhere in that area??? I know I wouldn't have a problem seeing a GTX... thats one of my (many) favorite cars
I do not see a problem either. But I know that we are keeping all the Buicks in one are, and he may have to park in another area. But heck it is a classic and deserves recognition alos. I am sure Marco was wanting to have just the Buicks all together. Mike
Other makes are invited by invitation only. And yes, I would like nothing more than see a parking lot full of Buicks! :TU:
Hi Marco, I mentioned earlier that my buddy has a 65 Cobra kit car that he was thinking about taking to the picnic, if it is done in time ( in the body shop getting painted). He is a real nice guy, is it OK if I invite him??
Bringing Stuff Hey- I know IDOXLR8 will be bringing some beverages, but I want to bring some as well. My wife works for Motts and they own lots of products (apple sauce/juice for starters) like Canada Dry, Snapple, Hawaiin Punch, Dr. Pepper, Schweppes and some others. They don't own any cola brands, so hopefully what I bring will complement what IDOXLR8 is planning on. I'll bring a smattering of their products as she can get them relatively inexpensively through her company store.
I do believe I can bring eating utensils (plastic forks/spoons/knives) and/or paper towels/napkins. Let me know if thats still needed?
I will start shopping soon, prob the week of June 1st and get ready with the BBQ stuff :TU: . I believe the park opens at 9 or 10...I plan on being there as early as possible so that there are no confusions.....I hope that someone brings a digital camera, and a camcorder...this is going to be an AWSOME event ! Larry
Got both covered - 5 Megapixel still camera with 1 gig Microdrive should get us plenty of print quality photo's......and MiniDV camera always tags along I'm hoping between this outing and the Labor Day bash at E-Town to have enough Super High Quality photo's to.... .....Have a BPG Calendar !!!! and.....YOU get to pcik what cars you want in it !!!! Just something I've been playing with for a little while:Brow:
Alan, That sounds great. What a wonderful idea. Marco, What do we have for deserts and snacks? My wife can make some of her world famous (not really world famous, but dar awesome) brownies and choclate chip cookies. And maybe some other baked goodies. And let me know what else we may need to start planning. Do we have a grill set up for hot dogs, hamburgers and such? How about buns and all? Figured I would bring up the later section to fill in what else is needed. Mike
