Its cold out here Hey Im glad hes doing better and I hope and pray for the best. As a retired track official we get alot of problems with racers not wanting to update their equipment and use the proper saftey items....I want to encourage racers to use good judgement and follow the saftey rules that IHRA or NHRA has laid out for your protection...Its a terrible sight to see that happen to anyone because no one deserves to go through something like and its awesome that you all are here to help him and his family out with anything. Good luck with whatever the future holds for you Bob and I hope you can make it back to the track soon.
I also talked to Amy tonight, and Bobb will be home tomorrow, he still has to get alot better, but is able to get around on his own, etc. The hospital in Grand Rapids, was awesome, in taking him to the next step and being able to go home tomorrow. He has had wonderful care, and the prayers and thoughts have definitely helped! Amy and Bobb, have not looked at these threads on this post yet, Amy thought she might get on tonight, just to thank everyone again and let folks know Bobb was going home tomorrow. I told her not to be in a rush to read all this mush, cause it'll be real emotional for both of them. I hope they take some time for themselves, and then read all these threads together, and then think about their friends, and not get too wrapped up in all our comments, as it was mostly for us to adjust and realize a very great friend had a big ordeal, and we all have learned from it, and he will recover and be better for it, as will we all be better, and much closer friends! Love to all, RV
Glad to hear the good news that Bobb is coming home soon! Thanks for setting up the paypal account Roberta. Man what an awsome Buick family.

With all the talk of prayer and such I thought this to be appropriate. Whether you are active in church or not the power of prayer works. I know we here at my church have been praying for Bobb and Amy and the rest of the family, and I know others around this country have also been doing the same. James 5 The Prayer of Faith 13Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. 14Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. 16Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. 17Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. 18Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops. 19My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring him back, 20remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins. amen
I am glad that Bob is home! Now he'll be able to really recuperate since he is with his family and familiar surroundings. Get well soon!
I talked with Amy last night. Bobb is coming HOME from the rehab facility today! From what Amy told me, he was doing hot laps on the indoor rehab track yesterday, but it was too late in the day to discharge him. Bobb, Glad to hear your on the mend buddy!!! Call me if your need help around the house. I'll get Dechent to come over with me! There's no place like home! Dave
Thanks Dave!! No problem, i will go with ya, lottsa chores to do....i will be the supervisor, and! I will let you drive!!!!...YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Dave and Turbo Dave and others I really think that Amy and Bobb have everthing together at this point, after talking with Amy last night, I think, they need some time to get together and plan out what they need help wiith and what they don't. So we should give them some time to assess these things. I think they will be ok with or with out much help from us, as they have relatives and other friends that can be of immediate assistance. I think in a month or so when things are more sorted out that we should plan a weekend to go see Bobb,! You can support Bobb's ordeal, by going to http://www.paypal.com and clicking on send money to my email If you want to!! RV
NOT! I'm going cause I'm the boss lady, and you each can drive, actually DD can drive cause gas is cheaper than diesel fuel, but no matter what we are cruising in a big Red GMC truck! Amy and Bobb, Anthony too, Let's us know if you need anything, including cooking, cause I know Dave and Dave and I can cook a mean ribeye on the grille!!! Charcoal that is! Potato boats with onions, on the grille, etc, HMMM, sounds good to me! RV
