Get well soon Bobb. Why do these things happen to such good people. Bobb is a great friend and has a beautiful car. I hope the damage done to the car can somehow be prepared. Get well soon.

Donations for the Makley Racing Team Recovery

My paypal account is set up, I believe you need to email me to get the info, please do so and we will see how this works.
Also donation collection will end on November 15, funds sent via Paypal and snail mail, (see earlier post on snail mail address), will be consolidated and a check will be written from the Michigan Buick Performance Club(AKA Michigan Chapter-GSCA) Treasury, we may also throw some $$ to make it a nice round number! THANKS EVERYONE, Roberta

PS, thanks for the updates Paul, really takes the load off Amy, glad Tammy is out there, that is fantastic! :TU:

    Donations, the first link

I think this is redundant, but if you didn't see the first link for snail mail donations, here is the Link It's in this same thread, as I don't think we need to make another thread on this topic, it is well kept as one thread, and will make it easier for Bobb, to deal with when he is ready to respond, and hopefully that will be soon, cause it sounds like he is ready to tell us how he feels and what the rest of us need to learn from this experience, and that is great, that we hope he can and will help us all! No doubt he will, as it sounds from Paul's message he is ready! Which is way cool, like the big guy, Doug said, in his first message, Bobb, has once again taught us some things, unfortunately the hard way, and we are all there for him, and his family, we love ya! And are more than willing to do what ever you need help with, as already said! Just yell, we'd probably hear you all the way to Flint, and be there in 1.5 hrs, or less, depending on the donuts available for the Troopers, :Dou:

Roberta, all we need is the email address used for the paypal account you set up. If you haven't used paypal before, all donors have to do is enter the account's email address as the recipient of the funds they are sending, and make the appropriate selections to finish the process.

Unless of course you don't want to show the email in a post?

I concur with all that has been said.

I dont know Bobb personally, but have a feel in reading his posts on how special a person he is. I see he is a very loved and respected member of this Buick V8 Forum Family. I too of course wish you a speedy recovery and hope tomorrow brings you one step closer to being pain free and closer to getting you back here with your extended family.

I am sorry this has had to happen to you and your family, but I am optimistic something good will come from this in the sense that all of us have become a little more safety conscious. Hopefully we will educate ourselves and our friends where we may be lacking in safety related areas.

Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.

I had never met Bobb or Amy before this unfortunate incident, but Roberta, if what you are saying above is true, then Bobb is getting back to his normal self. Last night he was stating how nobody he knows will ever race again without a full face helmet. It is a shame that something like this had to happen. Hopefully we will all take something away from the experience.

This is the true definition of "Going Fast with Class" That's what makes this organization more of a family then just a club of people.

I Feel A Little Silly Asking....

I Must Have Trailered In My Riviera Sat. At Around 10:00 And The Racing Had Been Ceased. I Really Didn't Think Much Of It, But I Would Have To Assume This Is When The Incident Occured. I Was Hoping That By Now, With All The Great Well Wishes Someone Could Recap What Happened, Both For Knowledge And From A Safety Perspective. I, Too Wish Bob And His Family A Quick Recovery. I Hope Everyone Takes A Little Time To Review Safety Measures They Take With Their Own Vehicles, I Know I Have. Several Gripes Have Been Voiced Regarding Ihra/nhra Rules, Etc.-but Whatever Angle You Wish To Have-it's All For Our Safety.

That is good news about Bob's condition. Thanks for the update,Paul. People like Bob and Amy are an integral part of this Buick community. When something like this incident happens,it has an adverse effect on us all. What is most important is that a car can be replaced, but a life can't. I am glad to hear that Bob is good spirits and I know with his determination,he will have another beautiful Stage 2 racecar in the future.

Hang in there Bob and our thoughts and prayers are with you. :TU:
