    Bobb,

Hope your feeling better soon. The P.R.I. show is Dec. 9-11. I'm sure you'll be going stir crazy by then. Why not double up on the pain meds, grab a wheel chair and head out for a day or two. This will be the last year for P.R.I. to be in Indy so you won't want to miss it. Besides it would give you a goal to shoot for. Just don't over do it. :TU:

    I Talked to Bobb!

Hey all, I talked with Bobb, last night, laughed alot, and talked about the issues with his car, It was great to talk with him, I was sort of shaking when I first started talking with him, but got over that very quickly when I realized, I was talking to the same Bobb, that I have known for years, and he and his family and His Buick Family, have been the best of the best, Thank you all for everything!! And also that the Michigan Buick Performance Club(aka Michigan Chapter Buick Gran Sport Club) will have their Christmas Party on December 4th at 3PM, will eat around 5PM, at Geof Ketchum's in Hastings, MI. Email me if you want to come, bring a dish to pass, or cash donation, roasted pork, and various potatoes are the menu. I will email you directions.
As far as the donations for Bobb please paypal, by November 15th or send to Barb, as in the previous posts! Go Blue, Green, Red, or what ever!

I can undersatnd your reluctance to talking to Bobb. I know right after his accident,Amy and Bobb stopped by the hotel to see the support that all of us showed him. I didn't feel comfortable to go over and talk to him, especially in the shape he was in at the time. When you are back in shape Bobb, all of us will be talking to you at the meets.

Hope you continue to progress in you recovery,Bobb.

I think Bobb, is ready to talk to everybody, after my chat with him last week, he is still enthused with racing another Buick, that will be way faster than what he was doing with GSM/GSE etc. as a moly chassis is in the works with a '70-'72 GS bodied car, and he says will run maybe 8's with his GSM motor, which he is very cool with. And we will all be very happy to see Bobb run some 8's next year with the new car! Go Bobb, go! See you soon, R

Hey Roberta lets not get to excited about next year with the new car. I hope it can happen before the end of the year but I have some bills coming up that may put a darn big hold on when it is finished. My chassis guy will be at the Christmas party maybe I will have a few pictures of it there. The struts came in last week and that was holding him up but he should be able to move forward on the chassis now. I know that the fiberglass doors and lightweight trunk lid came in a couple of weeks ago. All of that stuff was order before I kissed a tree. But most everything else will be on hold till I find out what this is going to cost me.

    Just a quick comment....

When I was in my accident last year (July 03), friends and acquaintances no doubt felt the same way. After a get well card, and maybe a one-time comment - it was like rats leaving a sinking ship. People quickly 'forget' and move on and only your very closest friends and family stick around throughout.

Don't let your uncomfortable-ness get the best of you. They need to hear from you, whether it just be a quick "how ya doing?", "you're looking good", etc. Even a note or card every once in a while can make a big difference, a short phone message, can really keep the spirits up and makes them feel better.

I'm not saying to be a pest, but most times that you don't make the effort because you are uncomfortable - is when it would do the most good. I guess if you were concerned whether Bobb was up to a chat/phone call, you could speak with Amy first to check (even that effort would get back to Bobb and make a difference, and I'm sure Amy needs as much or more support and would be glad to hear from you)

Anyway, hope that makes sense. Please don't let your own feelings keep you from keeping in touch.

Basically if you're thinking of stopping by or making the phone call, do it. I know he'd welcome hearing from you and if he's too tired he'll let you know. It helps to have people around. Just a quick hello if you can. It gets pretty boring sitting all day and I'm sure he'd appreciate it as well as Amy.

That and the fact that his painter doesn't have the best track record for turning out paint jobs in "a hurry" :Dou:

Yeah, but his prices are reasonable, work is good, and it just take a little while to remove the candle wax from having birthdays in Indiana.
Actually, the wax protects it while under the cover on the S L O W process of putting it back together!

    You all!

Are great friends, I can't get over the last few threads on John's projects, Bobb's comments, Amy's comment's and Jamie's comments, and especially Annie's are so profound, it make's it clear on how we all rally for each other, as friends and family, it's so cool, if makes other folks jealous! Sorry, but true. I just want to tell everyone again that the deadline for the Donation for Bobb and Amy is next Monday,November 15th. Then Barb(treasurer of the Michigan Chapter/aka Michigan Buick Performance Club) and I will consolidate the paypal donations, with the snail mail donations, and Barb will write the Check to Bobb and Amy from the Michigan Buick Performance Club(Aka Michigan Chapter-GSCA) we will include mailing addresses for all that donated, so they can acknowledge everyone, as they want. Thanks again for all the support and encouragement.
Wait a minute, I have some comments to Bobb's message about being overly excited about his chassis car, well here goes.
Bobb, I'd rather talk about your new car than talk about kissing a tree with the old car, unless you want to talk about kissing a really good looking man, like Doug, then that's another topic. And let's not go there, unless we have too. Love to All, RV

Silver car? I don't remember a silver car :Do No: I actually worked very hard at trying to forget that car! It WAS alittle more then "just a paint job" :Smarty: But life does get in the way and no matter my intentions they usually do take too long to finish. But, if I'm thinking correctly, that car hasn't seen daylight since it returned to Mich. Come to think of it there's one in Texas that hasn't been doing much cruising either. :moonu: See you guys this weekend!

You ARE CORRECT John. BUT IT DOES SEE SUNLIGHT, when I lift the cover & the garage doors are open.
I just wish the other one could find a new home, so I could get it centered in the garage & get the $ to finish it.
