Congrats on the recovery! Don't lose hope on the car and trailer, it could be sitting somewhere as well. I would think the cops would print the truck..... it could be a lead to find the people who probably still have the car! More than likely they already have a record with their prints on file! Find em and fry em!
Prints? we don't need no stinkin' prints!!! :af: I'll never get it. Isn't this a felony? When my Regal was taken while I was going through my final exams in college I was , of course, more than pisseed. :af: It had $5,000 worht of stereo equipment in it ( I know better now to spend my money on my Riv :TU: ), and they wouldn't print it. :spank: Almost got arrested myself for bitchin at the incompetence of the N.O.P.D. :moonu:
Isn't there something about the Feds getting involved if stolen property crosses state lines?? Or did that go out when Elliot Ness retired??
Doug, I'm glad to hear you found your truck. It sounds like we have the same taste in music :TU: . It figures it was right off of I95, 295. at least we know what direction they went.
Hey Doug, do you have to give back the insurance money? :error: :ball: If I had to bet on who did it my money would be on one of the employees of the hotel or truck stop that needed a ride home that night. Doug I am not knocking your truck but it was hardly the nicest truck in the lot but it was probably the easiest to start. Mike
Mike, I wasn't insured for theft. They didn't steal it for a ride home, they stole it for the car and trailer that were hooked up behind it.
Truck was found in New castle, DE and I guess it was locals that stole it because they went up Rt 40 to DE because Doug's easy pass would have been charged on I95. The crooks left Doug's plates on the truck and his easy pass on the window. Dumped at a motel in DE and I bet stole something from there to continue. Those in the DE area keep an eye out something may turn up.
I guess it is possible but the area where they were stolen from are probably 140 miles apart. Just a new business in town I guess. Steal race cars and trailers. No one ever stops and checks the vin on a trailer. In my 20 years of trailering I was never asked to see a registration! Seems like alot of trailers stolen this past year. Hey JH, was that your friends Opel that is listed on Racingjunk stolen section?
Sad Day Sorry to here of this loss and hope there is a recovery. This has been a worry of mind for years and the one reason I have a problem going to large and over night event. (watch gone in 60 seconds once (1973 version)) I think we will need to look in to a plan to keep this from happening at the BPG Nationals. This really troubles me. AL.
Armed Buick I have armed my 70 GS455 with a 50 cal. :blast: :blast: I'll catch those low down dirty s*&^heads. :3gears: :blast: :blast:
Detectives found seven trucks, five Mustang Cobra GTs, two Chevrolet Camaros, a Sea-Doo boat and trailer, and several other enclosed and flatbed trailers. A Bobcat, motorcycle and an array of lawn care equipment were recovered. Police also found a Mustang dragster, which is estimated to be worth between $75,000 and $100,000. Police confirmed all of the items were stolen ?????????????????
Cecil County theft ring I passed this info along to John a week or so ago...I think he was in touch with the detectives but with Salem and all, I have not heard back from him yet. Hope it pans out that SOMETHING is recovered.
