    HEY JOHN,

I DID find my rear suspention, tires and wheels, only a half mile from my house, some s#itbag was building a no time pontiac ( you know what pontiac stands for) granprix 80's junker race car with my parts, i recovered my parts, and he was taken in for questioning, thats all i can say about this lower than magit crap poor example for a human at this time.
A message to the bad guys, what does not kill us, makes us stronger!
and thats when the hunters become hunted. WE ARE ALL HUNTING!!!
it takes a man to create, and a coward to distroy.
I WANT TO CAUTION ALL OF YOU, AND PASS THE WORD AROUND. STAY AWAY FROM THE NO TIME STREET RACER'S. DO NOT LET THEM KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE, OR WHERE YOUR FROM, AND WATCH WHO FOLLOW'S YOU FROM THE RACETRACKS, OR CAR EVENTS. BUT DO LOOK AT THEIR CARS, AND EQUIPMENT, YOU WOULD BE SUPRISED HOW MUCH OF IT IS STOLEN. THE PERCENTAGE IS MUCH HIGHER THAN WE ALL THINK. OUR STOLEN PARTS AND EQUIPMENT ARE BEING PASSED AROUND IN THEIR NOT SO LITTLE CIRCUT, THAT SPAN'S FROM BOSTON THRU FLA. :blast: :spank: :moonu: :af:

We Need A Stolen Car Site Or Special Section

    HEY GUYS,

I HATE TO SAY IT BUT WE NEED A SPECIAL SECTION FOR STOLEN CARS, TO ALERT THE NATION THAT OUR CARS HAVE BEEN STOLEN, MAYBE THIS COULD HELP RECOVER OUR CARS AND MAKE IT HARDER FOR THE S#ITBAGS TO SELL OR DRIVE OUR STOLEN CARS AND PARTS. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHO TO CONTACT OR HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE?????????? :Smarty:

Will keep my eyes and ears open up this way of course.

    Are we covered?

I have already expressed my feelings to John and family , Doug and Carl on the BPG site and contiune to feel thier pain and frustration. What happened to them has always been a concern of mine. My cars are locked up 99.9% of the time but some (most?) of us get almost careless at car shows and racing events , where I walk away and even leave the windows down :Dou: thinking fellow enthusists would never harm the car.

I have always wondered if our "classic car insurance" covers a loss like what happened recently at E-town and now Cecil. I think my insurance policy reads something like I must keep the car garaged unless I am of course driving it  or if its in a car show , parade , other event but what about when its parked at the hotel, at the diner after the show or over night in the shop for service :Do No: ?
Are we covered if it disappears? Has anyone ever file a claim under this circumstance if they had limited use insurance?

I do not mean to take attention away from working to help John, Jill , Doug and Carl , so if this is too far off topic, feel free to move it.

As of now John Jrs insurance says they will pay the full agreed stated value for Jill's car but I will believe it when the check clears.

    Carl,

Have you considered the other device on the site that offers the boot? Its attached or pasted below (I hope) . I still don't know how this picture thing works?

This is the one I like. It covers the lugs too. It even comes with a $15 optional felt lined inner cover to prevent scatching to the wheel.

    Rick,
NO DOUBT that one is more secure device. But I was thinking the other would be good enough to install during a car show when the owner takes a stroll and it would not detract from the cars looks. The BOOT is better for the hotel parking lot. Looking at the POS car they have it displayed on makes me think the owner was illegally parked and the cops put it on!

Yeah I agree at a cruise it would look pretty ugly. Larry Hymowitz has a nice set up with his Riv and I think also for his Stage 1. He has a steering column guard lock. It's similar in color to his interior and doesn't stick out. Great for the car cruises and shows even for when you take local trips maybe to a store (short trips, parked way in the back of the lot away from squid parkers) That along with a kill switch should be OK for that.

Joe, the boot I just picked up yesterday looks similar to the picture Rick posted. It is made by a company named Rhino Industries(Grand Junction, Colo.)and is made in the U.S.A. This company has been in business making car immobilizers since 1951(this is their 54th year). Although quite pricey(price of $479.99),the end result is your vehicle is protected. Extremely heavy duty construction and is well built. One of the features of this particular immobilizer is the fact that if a would-be car thief were to move a car with this device installed,it will not do damage to the body of the car as the device moves into the wheelwell or frame of the car.The picture of this immobilizer is on a website www.awdirect.com Type in "tire boot" in the search box,and you'll see the model similar to what Rick's picture looks like(in this case, the immobilizer is orange instead of yellow). The immobilizer comes with an anti-theft key and an additional lock can be used in conjunction for even more added security.

This is the way my GS gets locked up in the garage. I locked it up this way in Salem last year. At cruises, the battery gets disconnected, and the club goes on.

Now what you have to do next Larry, is to put 100,000 volts of charge onto the drivers seat,so when the idiot goes to sit inside of your car,he instantly gets an electric roto-router job! :eek2:

Between those two devices that you have on your steering column and wheel,a would be thief is likely to go to another car.

If they want the car I saw a show where they tried ALL of the devices above and the Club was cut thru in 12.5 seconds with a hacksaw.
