Willie I found some shots at E-Town with you and your '71. Gets me more pissed thinking about what happened. But I like to think of the shots as incentive and encouragement. Hope you don't mind me posting them.

This one is your motor home towing the box and '71 on the return trip from Norwalk.

I almost hate to post this, but the reality here may not be so good...

Years ago I had a 57 Chevy Bel Air stolen from my storage barn while I was away at college. A year after the theft, the only thing that turned up was the frame. The remainder of my car was parted out.

People should not only keep an eye out for the whole car, but consider that the person who stole this may sell the parts.

Let's hope that someone catches him before he can do more damage.

Hey Paul, I guess you missed the posts referring to the fact that Willie already got his car back. Now he's hoping to get his trailer and stuff back.

    Doug,

Yes, I did miss the other posts. Thanks for keeping me straight. Even though he has a lot of work ahead of him, I'm really happy for him that he got his baby back.

    work in progress guys

Hey guys, its coming along, its been a tough year too many things went wrong, but i have since recovered, the garage is now complete and ready for my restoration project. i had already cleaned up most of the out side of the car, and some of the inside, the seats still are covered in spray paint, and i dont think i can save them. i am currently working on the rear end, i have started here and i will work forward. jack merkel has taken charge of the horse power, he will be doing the engine complete. ( and i am sure its going to be a good one). i have been collecting pictures and i will be posting them as i get them. again to all the guys thanks for your help, and support.

Go To page 4 of this post and you will see the pics (that is when he got it back). The car appears to be missing the drivetrain.

On the bright side at least the body came back in decent shape. The new thing on Long Island for theves to do is have cutoff wheel races down the side of the car. Two guys start at either side of the back of the car with cutoff wheels and begin cutting, the first one to the front wins. Pointless I know, but in the last month three of my freinds cars have been stolen and when they went to the impound yard the cars were cut completely down the side. This was the same hondas and american cars. I doubt it is one person as the impound lots were filled with cars like this, may 30 of them all found in different areas.

    good luck with the resto.

    cut em up

well i guess this is good news, just as i am a fair guy, this means when we catch these sc#mbags we can now play buy their rules, wouldn't life be difficult if someone had to live the rest of thier lives with a missing right arm, and left leg, i think thats better than missing two legs or two arms. wow, thats to funny, but we are fair people, and i am a fair guy. :beer

Larry Wiilie's car is such a beauty and a sleeper. What was his best time in the quarter?
