DEADMANSCURVE my first word : truck

    blah , blah , blah

check out some test results on edelbrocks DUAL plane rpm air gap intake . the mags are lovin' it big time . 1500 - 6500 rpm / and strong all the way through . 6500 street rpm's is healthy . and i'm for sure not sayin a 2500 - 8000 single isn't needed / wanted , but , maybe TA would be more inclined to "update" their current offering ? work on the runners a little , add some gap , raise it a little , i know - i know - sounds easy but - . but - could stretch the market some , still appeal to the street dudes BUT have enough extra for the "little too much cam , little too much gear" crowd . yep - thats me . i'm sure the single plane market for the buick 350 is there , its just how much is there and thats what they want to see . until that gets straightened out , the heads ain't happenin' . BUT JEEZ , ALUMINUM HEADS FOR AN AMC 360 ? thats a thorn . del ## edit/fyi > this thread is 2 1/2 years old ! ##

Just got the notification email John, lol. PM sent to the new member, hopefully to open communication lines. I might have a question or 80. That looks really clean there. Got time for another call one of these nights ??????? Lemme know, my turn to spend the dime :TU: .

    Back on topic here............

What would yall consider paying for a intake ? This is a biggie. I have asked "around" some. But realize, this is a small community, and the lack of total sales would dictate price. Yall can do the math just like I can. Example: Darts SBC intake is $400. If a SBB S/P similiar was offered in that price range, would it sell ? Just wondering is all...............

    Dave,
Everyone I've been in contact about the manifolds have guesstimated in the $600 - $700 range if a run was cast in the 100 - 200 piece range.
See what you can find - I'll spend the $$$ if the numbers flow and fuel distribution is right for our little puppies.

John, I'll give you a ring. Busy tommorrow maybe next day. Marks set up is really clean. I like it. It's close to what I had in mind for a twin setup, before I was convinced to go bigger single. :Brow: Competition is a good thing, makes us work harder right ? I am gonna get started in the old fashioned try and try again method. I will explain on the phone.

I agree with this statement. It will cost this much to adapt a intake.
Is there a good chance of getting this done? If so I am good for 1.

    hey burns,

if buick shafts are .815, measured them today, and the others are .842, a ball endmill will be need to open only .013 per side. THATS CAKE!!!!!
can't be any easier than that.........

JACKPOT......... So whats up then, You gonna buy the first set or me ? Whats the ETA of that "big tool" delivery we are waiting on ? Your the expert amigo :Smarty: .Sounds like we'll be able to mis-appropriate some funds elsewhere now :TU: .

Like Bill said if the fuel delivery is good and the flow is there then I would go for a intake for sure. If well designed alum heads were made I would pay top $!
