its in the cab .. if i fill the bowl and crank it for a long time it gets up to the highest point of the pickup and "pulls" it forward it just seems like its a looooong time...

i might get a syphon pump and fill/pull the lines all the way to the front and then crank

PS i used the oem steel lines with 3/8 fuel line connectors all the way toi the front then cross to the driverside with a 1/2 alu line on the crossmember to the driver side to the FP. could the 1/2 line be to big to greate enough suction for the pump?

I also connected the airhoise to find possible leaks and blew air through it ...nothing.

I'm not sure about that 3/8 to 1/2" fuel line thing. It would make sense to me though. Maybe just run some 3/8 rubber fuel line over there, bypassing the 1/2" line. See if that works.

It would be an inexpensive way to check it, too.

    ALIVE.
Had to go back in the carb. Float was to high so it was flooding.
    She started right up.
I have a water neck leak on the intake but im.not surprised since I just used RTV. I guess im buying a gasket lol.

    Good oil pressure
Even AFR is decent for idle

She idles a bit high I have to make adjustments to the throttle linkage etc and add another spring I think.

I redid that damn gasket 3 times before I got it to seal, on my 400. Last time I ended up buying another water neck from a member that was in much better shape, and using a nice bead of RTV on both sides of the gasket.

Glad you got the fuel issues worked out!

The overwhelming majority of the time, it is the sealing surface of the housing that is the problem. What I have done in the past is to get a flat sharpening stone with some oil and just resurface the housing by moving the housing back and forth over the stone. Pretty easy to do with the stock aluminum housing. Comes out nice and flat. I use the Indian Head Gasket shellac, and it is leak free.

i fixed the waterneck wi took LARRYs advice and sanded the flat surface "level" and applied the gasket with rtv = no leaks.

so now she runs fine. the alt belt ( probably very old ) snapped , so i have to replace that . but that is the least of the concern. the C 120 just needs finishing up with a custom drive shaft and details buttoned up.

i am happy for now and will get her on the road soon i think

Well she is alive and driving. I have to adjust the brakes and shifter but other than that she's ok.

I did a Comet wash today. Once it gets warmer I spray on a coat of Satin clear to preserve the Patina.
