And its factory equipment! First one Ive ever seen. I have to see if there is a part number for it in my books
First one I have ever seen as well and I'll tell you what I'd sure love to have one. Talk about a piece to reproduce Jason. I wonder how hard it would be. o No:
I'll take two! Of course, in "GS" reality with regard to reproduction parts, I wouldn't cough up a dime when the time comes. p
You know Bill, you might have something there! You should pitch that idea to Eastwood! I wore latex gloves! No fingerprints!!! Its a new paradigm- the barn find daily driver. Why wait till a nice sunny weekend to drive a muscle car? Drive one 7 days a week l say!
Already covered! Lightly spray some WD40 around and toss a few handfuls of baby powder on top. After it soaks in, a bucket splooshed in there with a handful of mud well mixed and VOILA! Make sure not to dislodge any scaly rust like on the master or heat shields etc. I'm liking the idea already! ws
I remember reading somewhere that something was added there to reduce wind noise. Thought I remember it being foam-like not metal. Whats the birth date of this redhead ?
We have an update!! When I bought this car, I bought it with no paper. Which at the time, didnt matter because I was initially going to part it out. Well, after three trips to the DMV, the 69 GS is now officially registered in NY. No small feat in this state without any title or any proof of ownership from the prior owner. I still have to wait for NY to send me a transferrable registration in the mail, but its registered in my name. YAY!!!!:beers2::beers2:
Sounds like your patience has paid dividends. Congrats. I guess this moves it closer to "flip" territory?
And now on Ebay with no reserve. Come and get it http://www.ebay.com/itm/382102475969?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2648
Jason The ole gal maybe a little thin in spots, but your eBay ad is rock solid. I like how you worded expectations after auction. GLWS
Thanks! You have to be part attorney on Ebay when your selling a car. As far as the description, I don't want there to be any surprises for the new owner when he picks it up.
Curious why you put Skylark in the main title and not GS since obviously it's a real GS 350? From a marketing perspective seems like it'd be better to have GS in the title, but I'm sure youvhad a reason. Nice listing.
That's a good question. Ebay doesn't have a model category for Gran Sport, only Skylark. The only thing you can do is fill in GS-350 to the sub category box under Skylark. So basically your limited to listing it like that
Interesting - There's others on there with "GS" in the title that look like private sellers. Yours does come up in a search for GS, but with that title & as hurried as people are I could see them not reading the sub-title and you possibly missing out on potential buyers.
