Ok Flynbuick, I been watching you and your on point with some stuff, well alot of stuff from alot of different topics. Well versed some might say. And then I'll add and say I think its because you might be those guys with secret handshakes.
So with all that said I want to pick your brain Buick brother.
    Give us the skinny,
What is the origin of life. What is the truth that has been hidden and washed away from the past and the future that we can really be. How do we unlock the lock and break the chain of our own mental limitation.
    No bull$hit#ing.

Because I could BS. And I could of asked a million funny things now.

My 94 year old ww2 vet Father in Law is coming over our house with the family for his birthday in a week. He will be eating one of my juicy cheeseburgers that will be an honor to make for him. When we take him out for dinner it’s always fish and chips or a cheeseburger. All he ever did was get plenty of exercise and eat whatever the hell he wanted. He was never really a smoker either. That is the biggest thing I believe. Enjoy the food you love.

Sorry I was in a hearing at the time of my initial response yesterday. I have since corrected it above.

Steve –linking Trichinosis solely to undercooked pork is a common misconception. There is no need to be defensive about anyone pointing out and correcting this or any other mistake.
In the age of the internet the most common source for obtaining information is "reading". This was the basis for my phraseology about which you now complain.

Contamination of other meats with the worms sometimes found in pork and other animal meat is a real risk. It could occur anywhere –all the way through the local grocery store meat counter. This is why avoiding undercooked meat of any kind is so important. Whether the meat is called unground beef steak, hamburger steak, chopped steak, turkey, etc., is irrelevant to the issue of whether there is a risk associated with eating under-cooked meat.

Jim's comments have been on the mark. What seems to be forgotten by some is that longevity is an average. Averages don't pertain to just one individual. There are people who watch their weight, eat the proper diet, and exercise regularly who die in their 40's. Others are sedentary, drink, smoke, and are 70 lbs overweight who live to 90. Overall however, you are stacking the deck in your favor if you are in the first classification. I remember hearing a phrase that I really like: "The contest doesn't always go to the strong, nor the race to the fleet of foot, but that's the way to bet."

Yeah, some people like to think/hope they will be the exception and cite so and so who was overweight, drank like a fish and smoked and lived to be 99 to justify....good luck with that....

While traveling in Africa, I met quite a few Giraffes, Elephants and Rhinos. They all deny that they are plants.

So Im almost up to my fighting weight again; usually about 305 (was 500 before the gastric bypass in 2005), smoke 20X per day if Im having a bad day and 40X if its a good day, have a beer in the evening and a small wine with dinner. Ill be 64 in 3 weeks and feel like a punk except for that GD arthritis. Cant run with 2 fake knees and a few hammer toes dont help either. Had scrambled eggs with cheese and sausages for breakfast and surprise my doctors (all of them) with BP @ 138/76 pulse rate at 62, Glucose <100 and no signs whatsoever concerning heart disease.

Pat and I just got back from the pistol range and was scoring about 97-98 @ 50 feet with 300+ rounds. Now I am gonna take a nap. Went to bed at 11 pm last nite and was up at 2:30 THAT sucks :( .

My good friend died last week from spinal cancer that metastasized into stomach and pancreas cancer. He lasted 3 months after "spraining his shoulder".
The doc took xrays and found all this shat. When yer number is called you can only step up. You can never step back. ws

If you chew your meat real good you wont have to worry about any worms.

And damn that platter was good, cod, scallops, whole clams, shrimp calamari and fries. No idea how many calories that monster was but I lost 7 pounds on that trip Friday. Almost died after taking 5 mile beach ride back to ferry parking lot almost at my truck. Major two lane road. Pushed button to cross. Crosswalk lights up like Christmas with crazy strobes. One car stops from right. Car coming from left is going about 40. It’s dark but how you can’t see that? Strobe in my bike too. I stomped my foot like I was going to jump out to see if the guy even had any clue. He didn’t he would have made hamburger out of me. It was an old guy looking straight ahead. His wife in passenger seat looked horrified though. There were several people with kids coming behind me. Thank God it wasn’t them. Most people just go in that situation.

Slight exaggeration... last move was to step on the scale before the operating table... 499. Within six months I was down to 215, my 5th grade weight. Yeah... good looks and FAT runs in my family LOL. Tell me a NEW fat joke.. I wrote them all. "That fat guy has more CHINS than a Chinese phone book!"

I was so impressed in High School in gym class one day; I actually did a chin up. Hhahaha. I was with my dad in the basement beaming with pride, and the old guy jumps up and grabs the I-beam and does FIFTEEN! I was like totally amazed. Pops looked at me and proceeded to do ANOTHER fifteen... WITH ONE HAND. True story. Pops had Popeye arms and was about 190/6-1". Had a heart murmur that kept him outa the military in WWII. Always drove Buicks.

Seafood slathered in melted butter? YUMMEE !! Easy on the salt; that stuff will kill ya...

I inherited the moms' family looks. Look at the hams on my dad at 40. He croaked at 58 from drowning in a tugboat sinking. Loved his Salems' and straight gin. Number was called... ws

Pops and my moms dad at 70 in 1962. Im 64. Guess Im gonna croak too.

What kind of oil should I use???

Nobody gets out alive, enjoy your food the way you like it and don’t stress over every nutritional study that seems to pop up daily. 90% of it is genetics anyway. And no, I don’t have a chart for that. I pulled that number out of thin air.

Yes, genetics and family history are definite factors, but lifestyle and diet can modify your risk factors. Some need medication to control high cholesterol and high blood pressure. Modern medicine can extend your life. I would never tell anyone what to eat, eating is one of the great pleasures in life. I get my annual physical every year. So far, at nearly 63 years old, I do not take any medication. My blood pressure was 110/80 this past June, and my cholesterol was 162. That is no guarantee I won't have a problem, but my Mom is 92 and has all her marbles, and my Dad almost made 90. My diet and lifestyle is WAY better than theirs, so I am hoping I do as well as them.
