Im curious how many of you are working on your buicks in your garages... Lets see some pics.. This is what you'd see if you opened my door right now! Notice the advertisement for the site!!!!!! Man I love this site...
Here is what I've got goig David. Just started Sun afternoon. I'm going under the car tonight get everything unhooked underneath. Should have the 350 out by the weekend. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=97349
Looking good Nick...it was good seeing you in Atlantic City a few weeks ago. Hope to see you at Yardley's. :beer
No action in my garage right now, but planning on getting the 350 in soon when the weather proves to us that it's spring, which will hopefully be w/in the next few weeks. :TU:
Just got my car back today from the McD's, on Woodward Ave. It's been there since Nov. 21st, and not a single fry or pickle anywhere inside. Great winter storage. In 1 day, the right fender/inner fenderwell and all a/c components are removed. Going back to a non a/c car. I'll post a few pics tommorrow. Tim, your car is lookin real good!!!!! Joe X.
Tim, that looks incredible. Quite a difference from the burned out hulk you brought home. It's going to be quite an event when you take it for it's maiden drive. Great work...your patience inspires us all. :TU:
I don't even have it that good, I borrow my space in a friends garage, I'll have to scan some photos and put them up! :3gears:
My 67 ragtop project is underway in my shop. It's almost ready for primer. Hopefully this coming weekend.
Sure Nick... it looks goog NOW. But soon your rear main will weep, the timing cover and pump casing will leak. The rear trans seal will leak, your garage floor will look like crap and the underside of your ride will be a sheet of oil and trans fluid. No, I'm not bitter or angry... I just pulled the intake manifold to replace the gaskets. I have an oil leak that weeps down the joint where the heads meet the block in the back. The rear main leaks profusely (that'll get changed after Atco - and I'm NOT looking forward to doing THAT) and my rear trans seal leak pretty darn good (I suppose THAT'll get changed at the same time I do the rear main)... That's not to mention the oil that puddles on the top of the timing cover on the driver's side in that little depression... or the oil that leaks out of the pump cover and onto my filter and the rest of the front of the motor. This thing is a freaking MESS! I'm THIS CLOSE to pulling the whole motor and redoing all the gaskets on it on an engine stand... If I can get the leaks to SLOW DOWN, then next winter it'll come out for a complete resealing... I can't wait to see your ride in MAy!
I pulled the body off of the frame of my '70 GS 455 4speed 'vert in January. I've had the frame powdercoated and today I was welding in patch panels in the floors where some one had cut holes to put in a roll bar at some point. I hope to have it at the body shop in a few months. Ken
Just before I installed the new grille. (Tried to have a before and after pic but couldnt get a good view, the goddamn car is too big  )
