Was there a such thing as a stage II GS?

The only other pic I have of that car is this...I may have posted it before.
It came to me in an email from a guy named Tim and said he was good friends with Denny Manner. It sounded like he worked at Buick...lost that email.

I thought I would post a picture of the KB/Reynolds car with the Motor Wheel Spyders back on. They were on the car in a lot of early photo's and were on other factory back GS's from that time....And I now know why and the connection.
Also thought they were ugly wheels when I first saw them...now I really like them, it kinda "dates" the car.
