HA! ... Whats that? Its done hit the 20's here.... bugs are long gone. with mid 60's to low 70's, its PERFECT windows down, music blaring cruising weather... Except.... my Buick's in the shop. :ball:
Do not get me wrong isince Thanksgiving we have had a few evenings that dipped below freezing. It really hurt our roses. I would say we only have 10-20 in bloom now. Please all all the cold air up there. We do not mind if you hog it all.
At 81 yesterday my feet got pretty warm so in anticipation of another 80 degree day here today I left my socks behind. We need to enjoy the weather while we can.
I think we topped out at 77 here on the beach yesterday. I was out in the yard and my daffodil's are coming up. My azaleas have been blooming for about 3 weeks now and my roses have been blooming since March. We have a little onshore breeze today so the high will only be in the upper 60's here. But the bottom falls out next week with highs here in the upper 40's and lows in the lower 40's guess I'll have the dig out the long pants.
Whewwwww! AC has been on for 3 days now...... Another first for me.....putting outside Christmas lights up dressed in Cutoffs,T-shirt and flipflops.....ain't nothing like looking at the lights with the kids in a convertible....Luv that Christmas Cruzin' :TU:
The top on my car has been up two or three times in the last 13 or 14 years. It's always been because the girls were in the car and said "It's too cold" when it was 70 degrees. John
We really have never driven the triple black stage 1 convert except in and out of a garage or a trailer. It has never been licensed. We have another 70 convert to drive on the street. The next owner will have to put the triple black convert on the street.
Will there ever be a next owner? I guess someday, but it is going to take some $$$, right Hey, did you ever find out who was restoring the stge 1 in Tarboro or was that guy just pulling our leg. Steve
With the exceptiom of a few weeks out of the year, South Florida is always in the 80's or 90's. I spent many a Christmas day (in my youth) on Hollywood beach.... sad but true. I love cold weather and wish I could see a change of seasons. Enjoy it Jim !!
I like a little taste of winter to kill the bugs but no ice please. After experiencing an ice storm like those guys are getting in the midwest, you would heading back to south Fla. pretty quick.
I lived in Raleigh for 10 years ( 69 - 79 ) and waited for the bus in the teens with wet hair. I can remember a killer ice storm in 1977 that froze everything!! It was beautiful, actually. Living down here is nice but you'd better speak spanish....................
Low temp this morning 60 degrees. Our tulips appear to be getting ready to flower. This must be a record of the earliest spring ever.
A cold front arrived last night and knocked us back to a 70 degree high today. It is looking worse for the weekend but nothing like the midwest and the northeast.
Come on up to Pa and have some fun. We accumulated this since 9 am so far and possibly 18 plus saturday into sunday...If you look closely at the pic with the beater Escort, you can see the freezing rain/snow streaking..
