80-90k Who can afford these things. I paid 26k for my first house, and that appreciated. Vehicles depreciate and then you have insurance, maintenance, and the now sky high cost of fuel. I'll stick with my 12 year old truck. Even if I had to spend a $100 a week on repairs I'd be better off.

Buying a new truck would be an absolutely terrible idea. Talk about pissing away money.

    I wholeheartedly agree with you.

I don't see myself ever buying a new car again.

The most I've ever paid for any vehicle was $21,000.00 US for a 65 GS. Sold it 4 years later for the same amount. Probably could have got more, but I knew the buyer. Then bought a 2005 Mustang GT convert for $17,000.00 Cdn, which was the second most I ever paid for a vehicle. Sold that after another 4 years for $13,500.00 Cdn, which is also what my current DD cost. That will last me for as long as it runs, and my neighbor who's an auto tech, can repair it.

Wife and I are proud owners of twenty year old daily drivers. Don't say it.

We still have to wait each month to get paper as we only get a certain amount each month and when we run out we can't print anything, so some kind of shortage is still there
We can fix it but we wont.

Flint truck is still steaming along. They’ve had Saturdays on the schedule all spring but I think they’ve actually only worked one.

I'm going to be careful because this comment touches on political. Most of my family would consider themselves liberals, and not a one wants a one-world government.

Guys, watch the political references, labels, and conspiracy theories. JW has already locked a few threads because it seems we can't discuss these kind of things without going political.

    Topcat Got TORQUE?

So a retired GM engineer friend and me are going to a Billy Strings concert in Dayton Ohio on wensday and he wants to take his Chevy Bolt....supposedly it has 259 mile range.......one way is 152 miles....there is a "fast" charging station right by the venue and we will have to get a recharge to get home, supposedly it will only take 30 minutes...is there gonna be a line we have to wait in?.....and it's gonna be almost 100 degrees so we will be running the AC there and back i am sure, does that decrease the range also......so i am feeling pretty twitchie about taking the EV.

Especially when we can take my Kryptonite Green Chevy Sonic RS Turbo....it gets 35mpg and will make it there and back on the 12 gallon tank with gas to spare....

    What should i do?

    Peace WildBill
