Of course! The usual chassis dyno session first, then track time.

If it doesn't get into the 12s running at night this winter in 30*-40* air I don't know what I am going to do.

I was excited to see my track is going to continue Moonlight Madness on Friday Nights all year! Major Mustang ass-whoopin' is in order!

List of problems I have had from getting the motor from "running" to "done" status

    • Thermostat Housing Gasket Malfunction:error:
    • Intake End Seal Wedging out after everything was bolted up:Dou:
    • Valve cover gasket not lining up correctly, had to chop off the little wedges to let it clear the intake flange
    • Broken Valve cover bolt, flush with the head of course:spank:
    • Oil pump shim somehow destroyed itself causing a big mess:confused:
Everything looks good except for the oil pump because I must wait until it cools to pack with vasoline:rant:

On a more positive note, it runs very well, and very torquey:Brow:

Glad to see you have that thing back together again. :TU: When do you think you can get some track times since Steel is open EVERY Sat. and Sun. all the way through winter, Up here we just have to hope weather is good on Jan 1 for hangoverfest at Cordova. :puzzled:

2nd Gear is acting up on me, so I do not know when I can get it out to the track. Hopefully before my break is over.

:TU::TU::TU: For Alabama International Dragway being open

I've got to get all the oil leaks fixed first then it will be off to the chassis dyno since 3rd gear is fine. If it can survive the beating on the dyno then I will be confident enough to go to the track. I blew an exhaust port last time on the dyno.:puzzled:

When you finally get some dyno #'s please post them. I hope you have some old pulls to post as well so we can see what kind of improvements all of those changes made. And let's hope the trans is ok too.

So, it made 280 HP and 310 ft-lbs. Pretty much the same the dyno pull with the stock intake. The only restriction left in the motor is the small 212 cam!

Here's the question: Time for a Single turbo or Bigger Cam?

    :confused::confused::confused:

I will gladly post the graphs as soon as they are emailed to me

Single Turbo is my vote. A turbo will turn that 310 ft-lbs into 500. That is way more than cam change will give you:Smarty:

    chryco63 14's or bust!

I'd go with James and say turbo, too. In the long term, I think you'd benefit more from the turbo install than a simple cam, both in driveability and performance. Keep the 212, and boost it. :TU: My 2 cents.

I am starting to lean towards the turbo. Man, I was stunned when it made the SAME power with the single plane:puzzled: I got to get the trans fixed and hit the track.

I think that single plane will shine with that turbo when you turn the r's up a little. Besides when the hoods up that cool manifold has to add at least 50hp at the local cruz-in dyno.

Cason,I've been keeping up with what you're doing and the X factor as well, kudos to both you and Mark.I'll vote for the T also, just make sure that the bottom end and the oiling is good to go.Good luck.

I'm also on the same page as the other guys. More cam will help, but the x-factor design will outflow all the head work. Forced induction might show you the same results you just saw, though...similar hp/torque with the stock intake, just because of the cyl head limitations.

That intake is screaming for a set of redesigned cylinder heads, which of course all of you have been screaming about as well (!!!!!).
